Family of 4 who love dogs
We love dogs but cannot own one at present. I have 2 daughters (age 13 and 9) who are comfortable, experienced and respectful around dogs. We would love the opportunity to look after well behaved dogs. We also now have experience caring for dogs with anxiety who need a little extra reassurance. I am really passionate about making sure dogs have great care with us, we genuinely welcome dogs we look after into our home and life and really enjoy their company.

This is the second time Katherine and her family have looked after Rafi our Border Terrier. Rafi needed medication for his possible ear infection and Katherine communicated with us regularly on his wellbeing. Katherine provided updates and sent some lovely photos of Rafi. He always seemed content and happy in their home.
Ruby our little cockerpoo did a bit of a barking and playing up when we arrived, but I knew she was going to love who opened the door. Katherine’s youngest daughter was waiting to see Ruby, and once Ruby saw her her tail was wagging and the barking changed to her excited bark! She had a lovely time with the family and Katherine sent lots of photos to reassure me. We are now looking for some other dates!!

Hazel had an amazing time with Katherine and her family. This was her first time staying but the frequent updates whilst we were away stopped us from worrying as we knew Hazel was having a fantastic time. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
Ruby arrived a bit apprehensive, whining and barking as we approached the door but as soon as she saw who was inside the house, her tail wagged and the whining was a bit less. I knew once I’d left she would be fine. It wasn’t long before I got a text telling me she was running around happily! Ruby is finicky about her food, but the family contacted me and I could offer a way to tempt her, but her behaviour was nothing new. I got an update that she had eaten well. Lots of contact and reassurance for me. I’ll be looking for an excuse to book Ruby again soon!
Oscar was very happy going to Katherine and her family, which was a great relief for us as this was his first time away, the photo updates were great to see and we will definitely be seeing Katherine again soon

Zeitplan
I work from home full time so can be available all day. I have calls for only a couple of hours a day so would need the dog to be able to chill during this time. They can always be in the room with me or on my lap during calls. We love long walks as a family and would happily take a furry friend with us. The type of walk depends on the day, could be pounding the local streets, could be to the end of the prom and back with a paddle or could be up to Halnaker Windmill or Chichester Canal. Depends on our schedule and the dogs needs. Owners to provide: (We've never had an issue with this but people ask regularly!) All Food/Treats/Snacks Food and water bowls Harness and leads (Happy to use an extendable lead for some walks) Special toys if needed (We have balls and some dog toys) Dog bed (If needed) Poo bags (We also have) Optional: Blankets and towels Please also jot down food/meal requirements in a note or on the Rover chat.

Sicherheit, Vertrauen & Umgebung
We have a large, fully fenced garden and lots of indoor space. We are comfortable with pets on the sofa and in the bed but will be respectful of owners rules. Small dogs who are used to sleeping in their owners beds can sleep in with my eldest daughter or myself.
Ein typischer Tag
My girls will play with dogs in our large back garden and we usually do medium to long walks, up to 90 mins, locally from our house and along the prom or to parks. We can be flexible depending on dog needs/owner preferences. I also love to do longer walks, up to 8 miles, maybe along the Chichester canal etc if dogs can go in the car and enjoy long walks.
