I work from home full-time, so cats in my care are rarely alone. I am here all day to feed, play, check in, and keep them company. My flexible schedule means I can follow your cat's normal routine, give medications on time, and respond fast to anything that comes up. Caring for cats isn't something I squeeze in around other work. It's my focus, every day.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority. My home is fully cat-proofed and escape-proofed. Cats stay strictly indoors in their own private suite, with secured windows, screens, and doors I treat like Fort Knox. As an extra layer of protection, every cat wears an AirTag for their entire stay, so I always know exactly where they are. Fresh air happens only in my secure, screened catio, only with your permission, and with me watching 100% of the time. I use calming pheromones in every room, keep toxic plants and hazards out, and monitor the outdoors with cameras for added peace of mind. There are never any dogs, and only four cats at a time, so it stays quiet and low-stress. I'm Pet CPR and first-aid certified and comfortable with medications. I'm rarely away, I live here with my husband, and I have trained backup help ready to step in on the rare chance I'm ever called out for an emergency, so your cat is never left without someone qualified to care for them. 🚨 Just 1.2 miles is a 24-hour emergency vet, so if anything ever comes up, help is only minutes away. 🚨
A typical day
Every cat gets a day shaped around their personality, not a one-size-fits-all schedule. Cats are more curious, pack-oriented, and playful than people give them credit for, and a bored cat is a stressed cat. Enrichment is built into every single day, but that looks different for every cat. In general, mornings start with breakfast and a slow wake-up, then we move through the day with things your cat loves: wand and chase toys, puzzle feeders, crinkly tunnels, feather "hunts," and yes, even outdoor walks in a cat stroller. There's supervised catio time for birdwatching when you've given the okay, sunny window naps with garden views, brushing for the cats who love it, and plenty of lap time and slow blinks for the snugglers. For the shy ones, "fun" might just mean quiet company and patience until they're ready, and that's perfectly okay too.

- Before your cat visits, we have an in-depth consultation call or a relaxed meet-and-greet, so that I can prep for your cat before they walk in the door. I want to hear it all: their personality and quirks, their favorite comforts and foods, their routine and hiding spots, any medications or medical needs, how they feel about other cats, and the little things that make them feel safe. It's also where we go over vaccinations (current rabies and FVRCP are required, for everyone's safety) and any health history I should know. A few things I'll need from you: Your cat's full veterinary contact information, including your regular vet and your emergency preferences, so I'm ready to act fast if anything ever comes up. Current vaccination records and any medications, with clear instructions. Their honest personality, shy, spicy, senior, or social, so I can prep their suite and their days to fit them perfectly. And you're always welcome to bring their own bed, blanket, toys, food, and litter. Familiar smells make everything easier. The more I know, the more at home your cat feels, and the more you get to relax while you're away.
