It is also important to know how they behave on a leash and around other dogs or strangers and whether they have any fears or triggers. Clarification on house rules, such as whether they’re allowed on furniture or need crate time, and having emergency contacts and vet information on hand to ensure both the pets well-being and the owners peace of mind.
A typical day
When pet sitting, I make sure your furry friend stays happy, active and loved with a variety of fun and enriching activities. From playful sessions like fetch, tug-of-war and Interactive toys to relaxing cuddle time, every moment is tailored to their personality and energy level. Regular walks and outdoor play (if allowed), and a consistent routine help pets feel secure and comfortable while you’re away. Plus, I love sending photo updates so you can see your pet enjoying their time and feel completely at ease

Hi I’m Katherine and am super passionate about working with animals! I have been working with animals since 2010. I have experience caring for everything from playful puppies to nervous rescue cats and farm animals. I am confident in handling animals with patience and understanding, and I always prioritize their safety and comfort.

Katherine took great care of our two dogs and house well we were away. She was super responsive and sent lots of picture updates which we really appreciated! Highly recommend and will definitely rebook with her in the future :)
Katherine agreed to sit for us last minute,which allowed us to visit our grandchildren in red deer. She was good caring for our nervous senior dog, and sent us regular feedback and pictures. She left out home nice and tidy. We will be having her sit again for us at the end of December!
