My husband and I live with our small introverted tripod dog and 2 cats in a house with a fenced-in backyard. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe with sidewalks. Our home is a relaxing space for senior, mellow, and/or introverted dogs - if your dog enjoys cuddling on the couch or slow strolls around a quiet neighborhood, then we have the perfect home!

Boarding: A Meet and Greet is required prior to confirming the booking. My dog and I will meet you and your dog to ensure the dogs are a good match. Drop-ins: I would like to know if your pet has any medical needs or special diet and discuss these preferences ahead of time. I would also like to know if your pet has any peculiar hiding spots (places I should look if I can't find them right away) and (for cats) if your cat is an outdoor cat.
A typical day
Boarding: I work from 9-5 Monday-Friday but am able to take frequent breaks for play time and potty. After work, we will go for a walk around the neighborhood. On the weekends, my husband and I enjoy taking our dog to the Yorktown market, walking on the Yorktown battlefields, and to Fort Monroe - We'd love to take your dog with us! We also enjoy watching TV on the couch and your dog would be welcome to cuddle up with us. Drop-ins for cats, every visit (up to 3 visits/day) will include: - Feeding (depending on your cat's schedule) - Checking the litter box(es) and scooping as needed/desired - As much attention as your cat would like - Checking the house for any cat-related messes* - General house maintenance (getting the mail, watering any plants, etc) *Change can be stressful for cats and they'll sometimes act out. I will contact you, however, if I feel your cat needs medical attention. Drop-ins for dogs, every visit (up to 3 visits/day) will include: - Feeding (depending on your dog's schedule) - Walk or potty time outside - As much attention as your dog would like - General house maintenance (getting the mail, watering any plants, etc)

Hello, my name is Kathy and I offer drop in visits, day care, and walking for mellow and senior dogs and I specialize in caring for cats and kittens. I have lived with and cared for both cats and dogs my whole life, from young ones to seniors, as well as sick pets who need medical attention. I am skilled at giving oral medication and shots. I also volunteer at my local no-kill shelter and handle cats of all sizes.

Katherine did a phenomenal job taking care of our two dogs and cat. She was incredibly attentive to their individual needs and communicated clearly and consistently. She truly put our entire family at ease, knowing our pets were happy, safe, and well cared for. She truly went above and beyond.
