I am currently working from home with a flexible schedule therefore am able to do daily check ins, walks, or stay with your pet if that is what you are most comfortable with. Weekends are the same as I focus on graduate school but have the ability to study from home.

If there is anything special your dog requires- do not hesitate to let me know. I have a high energy, nervous dog and I completely understand greeting accommodations, weird quirks, and any additional requests. I feel comfortable having a medication schedule written out for reference if your dog requires specialized care.
A typical day
I will provide daily walks (if the owner is comfortable) as well as any other activities the owner has found the dog enjoys. I personally believe that the owner will know their dogs interests the best and therefore that would be the first source I would consider when planning activities. If the owner is comfortable with me planning my own activities I enjoy doing things with my dog such as long walks in nature parks, creating “sniffing” games by hiding treats for her to find, providing puzzle games for mental stimulation, working on obedience and tricks for the animal’s self confidence, and of course belly scratches and lots of snuggles!

Pet care experience
Although I am new to Rover, I grew up with both dogs and cats and have almost 20 years of care experience. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your animal in someone else’s care- should you find me to be the right fit to care for your animal(s), I would not take the responsibility lightly and would provide the level of care I would want my own animals to be treated with. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Additionally, I have experience administering medicine (both oral and topical) as well as taking care of wounds (bandages, cleaning, medicating, etc). Katherine has been great with our dog Holly! She has done several drop-in visits with her during the day while we are at work. She is very communicative, follows our instructions to a T, and always sends cute photos. Would definitely recommend Katherine for anyone looking for a responsible sitter to watch your pet!
Katherine was wonderful with our dog!!! We had previously boarded Fran but she was unhappy when we got home. When we got home after Katie watched her, she was her usual happy, outgoing self. Katie sent us pictures of Fran and bathed her before our return. The house and ALL of our many packages that had been delivered were stacked neatly next to our mail. It was so nice to know that everything was taken care of!!! We can’t recommend Katherine highly enough!

INCREDIBLE!!! Seriously a life saver. We contacted Katie 1 week prior to leaving town for 9 nights to get married in Mexico. Our original petsitter plans weren’t going to work out and my stress level was high to say the least. She was confident and calm and my 2 dogs loved her right away. She gave great communication throughout the whole stay and sent me a video of my baby on the morning of my wedding wishing me good luck?❤️ She took such wonderful care of our pups and home. I’ve never seen them be more relaxed upon our arrival home. Couldn’t be happier with our pet sitting experience!!
