As long as I can remember, my family has owned pets. We’ve always had at least two dogs running around, and my parents were never shy about fostering more. In kindergarten, I wore them down enough and was gifted a cat. Hershey was my best friend for 17 years, and no one loved and cared for him as fiercely as me. I’ve had years of experience caring for our own animals, and have regularly petsit in the past for our neighbors and friends. I haven’t met a dog or cat I haven’t liked! Although I don’t live with my parents anymore, I do have a new responsibility in the form of my roommates cat, who takes up 90% of my camera roll. There’s nothing I love more then the curiosity and loyalty of having a pet.
