I'm a huge animal lover who has been surrounded by animals for my whole life. I've personally owned and cared for several dogs, cats, rats, mice, guinea pigs, and a surprising number of hermit crabs. I went to UC Davis for animal science, and have worked professionally with rodents for several years. I feel comfortable working with a wide variety of animals, including things like reptiles that I haven't personally owned. I'm well versed in animal health issues so you can rely on me to point out if I think anything weird is up with your pet. Also, I have a lot of experience with post-op care and giving medications, so I'm also more than happy to help on that front!

Safety, trust & environment
I'm hesitant to care for cats or dogs in my own home because my own dog has an iffy history meeting others, and I wouldn't want to risk anyone getting hurt with him. However, easily transportable pocket pets are more than welcome in my home, as the dog and all my cats have a history of coexisting nicely with cages animals! Otherwise, I'm all about following directions as closely as possible, and would never do anything outside of what I've been instructed to do. I know what it's like to entrust your pets in the care of someone else, and it can be really scary and nerve wracking. I'm happy to send update photos, have video calls, or anything else that helps everyone feel comfortable!

I highly recommend Katherine for your pet-sitting needs. I have used her many times in the past for caring for my guinea pigs, cats and dogs. She is dependable and reliable, and my fur babies adore her. Which makes it easy for me to leave them in her care.

Schedule
I recently quit my day job to focus on my online master's program, so I have a lot of availability! My schooling is asynchronous so I don't have to plan too much around classes, but I do have my own dog at home which is why I'm hesitant to do overnight stays.
