We're a Family that Loves Dogs!
I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Now, my husband and I have continued that love of animals with our own family. Over the years, our family has had the joy of caring for a cat, a dog, and even a bird. We’ve really enjoyed being involved in their care, training, and everyday routines. We understand that every animal has their own personality, needs, and way of communicating, and we’ve learned how important patience, consistency, and positive attention can be. As a family, we genuinely enjoy having animals around and making them part of our daily lives. When we care for someone else’s pet, we want them to receive the same kindness, attention, and companionship we give our own.

We had a wonderful experience! Our dog was so well loved by the whole family and had a great time playing with their dogs and cat. We really appreciated the pictures and updates while we were away, and communication was great. We’d happily use them again if we’re ever back in the area!

Outstanding experience with Katherine! She and her lovely family took excellent care of our two dogs while we were on a trip. We were delayed in our return and Katherine was extremely accommodating . The dogs had constant attention and care, so much that the dogs weren’t ready to leave. Normally they can’t wait to leave when we pick them up, but this time they didn’t want to go. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Highly recommended!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine, and my husband and I work together to make sure the pets staying with us receive plenty of attention and care throughout the day. We make time for walks, outdoor play in our fenced yard, and activities that provide both exercise and mental stimulation. We’re also happy to follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, crate time, or other care instructions provided by their owner. We can include short training activities, playtime, brushing, and plenty of attention and affection based on what each pet enjoys. Having both of us involved allows us to share the responsibilities and make sure pets receive consistent care and companionship. Above all, we want the pets staying with us to feel comfortable, secure, and included in our everyday life while their family is away.

In our home, my husband and I work together to provide a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where dogs can feel right at home. We have a fully fenced yard with plenty of room for supervised outdoor play, games, and fresh air. There’s also a park just down the street that’s perfect for walks, exploring, and a good game of fetch. Inside, we have plenty of space for dogs to relax and get comfortable. We can provide a crate for dogs who enjoy having their own cozy, secure space, along with quiet areas for those who need a little downtime after playing. Having both of us involved means your dog gets plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout their stay. We understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so we do our best to make each one feel safe, loved, and comfortable while they’re with us. Whether they love to play and explore or would rather curl up and relax, we want our home to feel like their home away from home.

A typical day
My husband and I love keeping pets active, engaged, and happy while they’re staying with us. We know every dog is different, so we adjust what we do based on their energy level, personality, and normal routine. For dogs who love to stay active, we can take walks around the neighborhood, visit the nearby park, play fetch, or enjoy games in our fenced yard. We also like interactive activities such as tug-of-war and simple training exercises that provide a little extra mental stimulation. For dogs who prefer a slower pace, we’re just as happy spending time cuddling, giving them some extra attention, brushing their fur, or simply letting them relax with us. With both of us helping with their care, there’s plenty of opportunity for play, companionship, and downtime. Most importantly, we want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and like part of our home while they’re with us.

We like to learn about their daily routine, energy level, medical conditions or medications, dietary restrictions, and behavioral tendencies, including how they react to other animals, new people, or being left alone. We also want to know about the little things that help your pet feel at home, such as their favorite activities, sleeping habits, fears or triggers, and how they let you know when they need something. We know that every pet has their own personality and comfort level. The more we know about your pet ahead of time, the better we can maintain their normal routine and make their time with us feel familiar and comfortable. Our goal is for you to feel confident leaving your pet with us and, most importantly, for your pet to feel safe, happy, and cared for while they’re in our home.
