Dogsitter close to the Eastern Prom
I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy.

Katie kept our dog Roxy calm and relaxed while we were away. She communicated clearly and was flexible with times. We will definitely keep Katie in mind for future needs.
Katie is a favorite sitter for both me and my cat Lina! Lina gets an attentive and loving visitor, and I get great updates and come home to a happy cat. Katie is a reliable sitter even in tough conditions, having cleaned up messes after more than one hairball!
Katie was a fantastic sitter for our pup, Ziggy! Ziggy is an anxious dog, and can take a while to settle in with new people and to new places. Katie was very patient and compassionate with him, and Ziggy seemed to warm up in no time. We would love to have Katie watch him again!
Katherine did an amazing job with Boone. He was well rested and not anxious at all when I picked him up. She was very flexible and communicative during his stay. I was very happy!
Can't recommend Katie enough! She has been sitting for my dog, Shadow, for years - maybe the best testimony that I can give is that when I say Katie's name to Shadow, Shadow's ears perk up and her tail starts wagging. She is always attentive to Shadow's needs, takes her long walks, plays with her, and treats her like one of her own. Knowing that Shadow is getting such excellent attention and care when I'm away gives me real peace of mind. It's hard to imagine a better dog sitter!

Programa
I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around.

I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.
Un día normal
I love going on long walks with the dogs I sit for, equally as much as I love sitting on the couch with them. I also live very close to the East End beach, so if your dog loves water and other dogs I will happily take them down to romp!
