I work part-time on Saturday and Sunday, so I have plenty of time during the week to watch your pet - or pets! I am available all day Mon-Fri and can come by for evening visits after 4pm on the weekends.

I will keep a close eye on your pets and give them plenty of playtime to burn off their energy. I regularly change water bowls and have snacks on hand to encourage trick training, or to distract from unwanted behaviors.

Please let me know any special needs your pets have, including allergies, fears or phobias, injuries, medical conditions, disabilities, etc. This will ensure I can give mindful care and not accidentally hurt your beloved pet. The last thing I want is to make your pet sick with a treat they can't eat, or play too rough because I didn't know about a bad back!
A typical day
I love playing with animals, especially puppies and kittens who are bursting with energy! Fetch and tug-of-war are my favorite games! I'm also able to recognize when a pet has their own requests for spending time together; sometimes they have a favorite toy that they can lead me to! Then, when playtime is over, I love a good cuddle! I think it's important to teach pets to be confident in play, and learn that people from outside their homes are safe to interact with

I have 8 years of experience as a former Veterinary Assistant, working with pets all over the Portland Metro Area. I am trained to handle difficult pets that others cannot with a gentle touch and welcoming demeanor. I practice patience with skittish animals to make them feel at ease in my presence. My goal is to not only take care of your pet while you're away, but to make them look forward to the next time we can spend time together!
