I'm freelance and set my own schedule so I can work around any needs you have time-wise, including overnight or on the holidays! I'm here to give your pet the best possible care, whenever you need it. Please be aware that around holiday periods (Summer, Easter, Bank Holidays etc) I will book up very quickly, so the more advanced notice the better! I also am not available for new clients during the Christmas period.

I operate on a one dog/one family of pets at a time basis, so when you book your pet(s) in for a stay with me, they will be the only ones staying and you can guarantee their comfort and safety, and that they will get my full attention and care! I have a fenced in garden and live by plenty of parks and walking routes so your pet will never be without walks or fresh air. I have a nice big kitchen and living room for them to relax in and I'm always around for them to get plenty of contact and company. I can also store any cages, carriers or crates your pet may need to bring with them, along with all personal items and food. PLEASE NOTE: My husband works from home as well and so will always be around, so dogs that are wary of men may not enjoy staying with us. I cannot and will not sit pregnant, lactating or in heat females as I am not equipped to do so. I do not allow pets in our bedroom or in/on our bed, all pets staying with me must be comfortable to sleep downstairs alone at night, either in their own bed or on the sofa. All pets staying with me must be fully vaccinated and recieved regular flea, tick and worming treatments in accordance with vet guidelines.

Information Katherine C. would like to know about your pet
When taking care of pets it's important to know just about everything to ensure they feel safe and looked after. Most of these details will either be available to list on your pets profile, or we will go over during the initial Meet&Greet with you and your pet. This will assist me in providing the best care for your special pal. If you are unable to attend a Meet&Greet with me, then we will arrange a time to call and go over everything. This can be a phone or video call to suit your needs. Things I'll typically ask for are: General Pet Info: - Breed, age, neutered/spayed etc. - Feeding schedules - Dietary restrictions - Walking, bathroom and play schedules (including favourite games and toys) - Bedtime/crating schedules Pet Habits and Quirks: - Are they food or toy defensive/aggressive? - Do they get on with other animals? do they get on with children? - Are they prone to escape artistry? If so, what kind of things have they tried? - Are they house trained? To what extent? Do they have accidents? Comfort Needs: - Do they need a blanket or prefer a chair over sofa etc. - Toy preferences or restrictions - Allowed on furniture or not, if so, what is allowed. Please note that I do not allow pets in our bedroom or in/on our bed. All pets staying with me must be comfortable to sleep downstairs alone at night, either in their own bed or on the sofa. Health Information: - Any health issues or conditions to consider, including allergies and intolerances. - Are they on medication? When does it need to be given? How do you normally give it? - Any physical issues/disabilities/sensitive points? If your pet has for instance a bad leg, or they don't like being touched on their back, this is extremely important to know and will also impact things such as the lengths of walks or outdoor time. PLEASE NOTE: My husband works from home as well and so will always be around, so dogs that are wary of men may not enjoy staying with us. I cannot and will not sit pregnant, lactating or in heat females as I am not equipped to do so. A typical day
Pets staying with me can look forwards to lots of playing and games (which cup is the treat under is always popular!), as many walks as they need, and exploring my fenced in yard and the local areas. My local area includes several parks and fields, lots of walking routes, as well as a large country park with lots of different environments to explore. Maybe we'll even take a little trip on the steam train! They will also get plenty of love and cuddles, and I have a nice three seater sofa to lounge on, with fresh blankets just for them.

Pet care experience
I adore animals and I've had pets my entire life, of all shapes and sizes; from puppies and kittens to elderly four-legged folks! I also have had tortoises, hamsters, birds and snakes so I'm prepared to care for all manner of critters. My husband and I work from home, so I have nothing but time for your special pal <3
Reviews

A positive experience from initial meet up to dropping off and collecting. Kathy is very professional. She gave us regular feedback. I have no doubt that our dog was well looked after and I would use the service again
Kathy was wonderful with Roxy, took excellent care of her while we were away with regular updates. It was our first time leaving Roxy but Kathy's attention to detail beforehand and obvious experience with dogs was so reassuring. We would highly recommend her, thank you Kathy 😊.

Katherine was wonderful. She was friendly and professional throughout. She appears to board only one dog at a time, which means all her attention is with your dog! Whilst we were away she sent pics and updates and our Westie Izzie seemed to be happy, content, relaxed and a little spoilt! Couldn't speak more highly of Katherine and would definitely recommend her to others. Thanks very much Katherine. Xx

We were delighted to leave our cockapoo Mira with Kathy for 8 days this January. Kathy and her husband are fantastic dog sitters, I had no anxiety with leaving Mira with them. I received updates regularly with photos, and would book again for our next holiday.
