Hi! I’m Katherin, and I believe dogs deserve more than just a place to stay while their humans are away, they deserve to feel like they’re on vacation! I only host one dog at a time, so your pup will get my full attention, affection, and care from the moment they arrive until it’s time to go home. I keep a calm home, follow each dog’s routine closely, and take the time to build trust so they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. I’m fortunate to live in Dupont Circle, just steps from beautiful parks, shaded walking paths, and several dog-friendly cafés.

We cannot say enough good things about Katherin!! She truly goes above and beyond to care for Wrigley and gives such great updates on what they did every day and how she is. When Wrigley was having stomach issues she quickly updated us and added the pumpkin we suggested to her food so that we didn’t need to worry a bit about our girl! Wrigley was so excited to stay with Katherin again and there is no one better to watch our girl for long periods of time!
Katherin was incredible!! She took such wonderful care of my dog and did all sorts of fun activities with my dog. I could tell that my dog loved her time with Katherin. We will absolutely work with Katherin again. I cannot recommend her enough!
Maisie was left in great hands! It was great getting the updates and seeing her out having adventures, going on walks, and clearly being well taken care of. She came home happy and tired, which is always a good sign. Really appreciate the great care and would definitely recommend Katherin! I know Maisie would too.

Schedule
I’m a school teacher nearby, which allows me to come home during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, and extra attention. After school and on weekends, our time is spent exploring the neighborhood, relaxing at home, playing, or simply cuddling on the couch.

You’ll receive detailed end-of-day updates with plenty of photos because I know how comforting it is to see your dog happy while you’re away. My goal is to make every dog feel safe and happy, and every owner to have complete peace of mind.
A typical day
Every dog settles into their own rhythm, but our days usually look something like this: Mornings often begin with a relaxed walk through Dupont Circle, sometimes stopping by Aslin or Mikko for a coffee while your pup enjoys the fresh air and watches the neighborhood come to life. If your dog enjoys exploring, we might visit Meridian Hill Park, Georgetown, the National Mall, or other favorite spots. If they’d rather take things slow, we’ll enjoy a peaceful walk around the neighborhood followed by plenty of cozy time at home. Throughout the day, we balance activity with rest based on your dog’s personality and energy level. Some pups love long walks and adventures, while others are happiest lounging by the window, chewing on a favorite toy, or curling up on the couch. Evenings are all about winding down, dinner, another stroll, lots of cuddles, and a calm bedtime routine that feels as close to home as possible. No matter their age or personality, my goal is for every dog to leave feeling happy, comfortable, and excited to come back.
