I have always loved animals and have had many opportunities to gain experience caring for animals through my own pets (I have personally owned and cared for cats, dogs, house rabbits, horses, & fish), fostering, and pet-sitting. I have experience with puppies & training, have been pet sitting for nearly 10 years, and have worked professionally with many animals, including horses, for over 10 years which has also added to my knowledge of and ability to work with animals. I’ve learned to be patient and firm when working with animals and always show a ton of love and affection to any animal that will let me. 😊 I have experience with fearful animals, energetic animals, untrained animals, and both old and young animals. I would love to work with owners to cater to the specific needs of your own pets to make leaving town as low stress as possible :)

Safety, trust & environment
I will have to leave the house during the day everyday to take care of my own pets (I have a dog and a cat) or any other obligations. However, I make sure to give your pets physical and mental exercise, attention, and keep them safe in the house, yard, on walks, and when I am going in and out of the house. If there are any specific needs your pet has, just let me know.

Katharine is an incredible dog sitter! Our boys loved her and she took care of our house so well. She even brought her dog Anya to play with my dogs and they couldn't have been happier. She's also very excellent at giving daily recaps and sharing incredible photos! Would recommend to anyone 👍🏻

Katharine was great. We loved her daily photo updates, which made it so much easier to relax on our vacation, seeing our pup so happy. Our dog loved playing with her sweet dog in her big, sunny back yard. It was like dog heaven. Highly recommend.

Schedule
I work remotely so I am flexible and able to tailor my schedule to your pet’s needs! Just let me know what your specific expectations are so I can best meet them.

- I would like to know the usual schedule that the animal is used to (wake-up time, breakfast time & amount, exercise time & amount, dinner, bedtime, etc.), any allergies, fears/phobias, experience with crates & other animals, and current commands. Please let me know if there are any behavior issues so that I can properly prepare for them! Please also let me know how long your dog is ok to be left alone for and how you usually leave your dog (a crate, room, or entire house). I do have a dog as well so I’d love to know if your dog would be okay being on the same walk, room, or playing with mine or if they’re better left separated! :)
