Availability
Looking to do dog/pet house sits. Looking for a Christmas sit too. Otherwise a couple of walks a week. My animal loving PhD student son, 26, is frequently available in Bristol, particularly Clifton/Cotham/Redland mainly for cat sits. I have at least 3 days off a week. My son divides his time between Bristol and Oxford.

I am not boarding at my house - I live near a park and nice walking areas but have a courtyard. o geared up to look after animals from their own home.

I will not look after dangerous dogs. We have completed over 50 animal sits on other sites since 2022. I don't really have a suitable vehicle for moving around large dogs. Most dog/cat sits would be both myself and son sitting.
A typical day
I like to walk in countryside near rivers and canals/streams such as Port Meadow. I am happy to socialise dogs in town if required. I like playing ball/fetch. Sometimes we visit Hearing Dogs in Saunderton where they have a secure paddock. We have been enjoying walks in Askett and Whiteleaf recently and Oxford University parks.

I love the company of dogs. As a family we had a cairn terrier, siamese cat and guinea pigs as pets. In the police I have done many jobs accompanied by dog handlers. I also enjoy spending time in the countryside with wildlife.

Aaron and Katy were great, they were very friendly and followed instructions perfectly. They played with and petted the cat and sent regular photos each visit. Highly recommended!
My mum and I are currently looking after a shorthair ginger cat in Jericho for 3 weeks. The cat has a specialist diet and 6 hourly feeds. We started off at the deep end, looking after a menagerie of 15 pets in the Cotswolds including 2 dogs and 2 cats which was hard work but also fun and rewarding. We have walked various dogs in the community including an English sheepdog and a cocker spaniel. There are some fantastic places to walk and swim around Port Meadow. Mum is a nature and animal lover. She frequently donates hospital stock that is out of date, to give to wild life centre Tiggywinkles, in Haddenham.
