Hi! I’m Katerina, a registered nurse with a lifelong love of animals. I grew up with dogs and have shared my home with cats for the past 15 years. Caring for animals has always been one of the greatest joys in my life. Sadly, I recently lost both of my beloved cats, and while my home feels a little quieter, I still have so much love and care to give. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or simply have a calm, reassuring presence nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I’ll treat your pets with the same patience, kindness, and attention that I gave my own. As a registered nurse, I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable following routines and administering medications if needed. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family!

I’ve known and worked with Katrina for 4 years now, and she is the greatest lover of animals. She has had 2 cats for all the time I have known her and she is a super attentive and caring pet owner. I’ve also pet sat for her in the past and she is always prepared when leaving care instructions and emergency info to make sure her pets are cared for.

Schedule
Schedule I’m currently off work until mid-October, which means I have plenty of flexibility and availability for pet sitting, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the week. Whether you need last-minute care or are planning ahead, I’m happy to work with your schedule. After I return to work, I’ll continue offering pet care around my nursing schedule and will keep my Rover calendar up to date so you always know my availability.

I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like they are part of the family. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention and affection. I understand that pets are most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so I take the time to let them warm up to me and respect their individual personalities. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully and keep your home tidy and secure while you’re away. As a registered nurse, I’m detail-oriented, responsible, and comfortable following care plans and noticing small changes in behaviour or health. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe and loved.
A typical day
I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and finding activities they enjoy. For playful pets, that might mean walks, games of fetch, interactive toys, or plenty of playtime and enrichment. For cats, I enjoy engaging them with toys, gentle play, brushing if they enjoy it, and giving them attention and companionship. I also believe that some pets have just as much fun with calm activities — sitting together, providing comfort, exploring new smells outside, or simply being a reassuring presence while their owners are away. I’ll always follow your pet’s cues and make sure their time with me is safe, positive, and enjoyable.

- Every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I appreciate knowing as much as possible ahead of time. I’d love to know about their feeding schedule, medications, favourite activities, fears or anxieties, how they communicate their needs, and anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. It’s also helpful to know how they interact with new people, other animals, and their environment. I want to make the transition as easy as possible and provide care that feels familiar and reassuring. Please share anything you think is important — you know your pet best, and I’m happy to follow their routine and give them the same love and attention they receive at home.
