Pet care experience

Dog loving WFH Professional

Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and experienced pet sitter who works from home, which means I have the flexibility and time to give your pup plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’ve grown up with dogs and have years of experience walking, house sitting, and caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s a short midday walk, a quiet trip to the dog park, or a longer run or hike after work. I’d be thrilled to bring your pup along for the adventure! I’ve regularly cared for friends’ and family members’ dogs, including overnight stays at their home, boarding dogs at my home, providing daily walks, and playtime at parks to help them socialize and stay active.

Kate is an amazing sitter who provided a comfortable and fun stay for my anxious senior dog. Kate asked great questions to make sure that she understood my dog's needs and quirks. From the pictures provided, I could tell that my girl was entirely relaxed, happy, and well cared for in Kate's home. We don't like to have to leave our third "child" when we travel but would absolutely board her again with Kate.

Our first time booking with Katelynn - what a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our pup Moose came home happy! Professional and communicative. I knew Moose was safe and well cared for. Very easy to work with - I highly recommend Katelynn 🐾

Kate was able to sit for Wedge in a pinch. She made the experience enjoyable for Wedge even on such a cold weekend! She shared pictures of Wedge while we were away. I could tell Wedge loved her, jumping up to say “Goodbye” before we left. Would book again for sure!

Layla once again had a great stay with Katelynn. She has stayed multiple times now and always settles in quickly and comes home content.

Safety, trust & environment

I can have pets hang out in my townhouse, but will frequently take them outside and ensure that we visit the local (quiet) dog park once a day if I'm doing boarding events! I’d take the dogs for walks around our neighborhood, on hikes outdoors, or even swimming in the lake (if cyanobacteria are not present), provide enrichment, and of course, lots of love and affection. Most importantly, I'd be sure to match your dog's routine as much as possible, and try to make their time away from their family as comfortable as possible.

A typical day

Depending on the dog's activity levels and energy needs, activities will be different! If I am with a high energy dog, than I would provide a lot of enrichment activities, go on runs, and even take the pup on hikes. If they are energetic and love to play, we have a local (quiet) dog park around the corner that we can walk to and use to play fetch and run around in a fenced in and safe environment. At least three walks would be built into the day in the morning, lunch and evening after dinner. For a less energetic pup, couch cuddles, movies, walks, and quiet time outside would be nice options. Your dog would never be left alone because I work from home!

Let me know how reactive your pup is ahead of time, and how comfortable they are when around other dogs. I also appreciate knowing how they do on leash, and if they have any special needs I should know about.
