Lover of big, small, & all animals!
I grew up around dogs, cats, and horses, so caring for animals has always been part of my life. From a young age, I was expected to help take care of them and learn what they needed—whether that was energetic puppies and kittens or older animals who needed a little extra patience and care. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of hands-on experience. I’ve cat sat for cats with disabilities and learned how to adjust care to meet their specific needs. I also volunteered at the Animal Protective League and One of a Kind Pets as a cat cuddler, where I helped socialize shelter cats and build trust with them so they’d be more comfortable around people and ready for adoption. I also spent time walking dogs at the shelter and giving them attention and consistency. While living in Akron, I regularly watched a family’s senior dachshunds—very needy little dogs that required a lot of patience, routine, and love. I’m very comfortable caring for senior pets and understand how important it is to go at their pace and pay attention to the little things. Overall, I’ve always had a genuine love for animals. Caring for them has never felt like a job to me—it’s something I naturally enjoy and take pride in.

I live in an apartment, so I’m not able to host pets in my home (no boarding). However, I’m more than happy and fully comfortable caring for pets in your home where they feel safest and most at ease in their own environment. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat it with respect and make sure your pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, or just giving them companionship and attention. I always aim to keep things calm, consistent, and stress-free for your pet, especially since being in their own space helps them feel secure.

Katelyn P. is an incredible human being with one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. She is kind, outgoing, dependable, and genuinely caring toward both people and animals. As a teacher, she pours so much love and patience into her students, and that same compassion carries over into the way she cares for pets. I’ve known Katie since college, when we met working together at a boutique in downtown Kent, and I knew right away our friendship would last for years. She has watched my cat, Ellie, multiple times and has always been absolutely wonderful with her. Katie is attentive, trustworthy, and makes pets feel safe and loved while their owners are away. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their pets because she treats every animal like her own.
I've known Katie over 20 years and any time I describe her to someone, one of the adjectives I always use is animal lover. She's the type of person who could say she planned a trip to Greece just to pet all of the street cats there and I wouldn't second guess it because that just fits. Together, we used to volunteer at One of a Kind Pet Rescue where you'd never find her without a kitten in her arms. She was always early to our shifts, cleaned the kennels until they glistened, and quietly coaxed even the shyest animal out of hiding. I've never known someone to be as patient and gentle with all types of animals as Katie. She grew up around a large number and variety of animals so she learned the responsibility of caring for them early on and never took it lightly. She's pet sit for my parents multiple times, taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and a horse. She has also cat sit for me multiple times and was one of only two people I trusted to take proper care of my special needs cat before she passed. There is truly no one I would trust more to watch my pets than Katie and I do not say that lightly or just because we are friends. She is one of the most responsible people I know and always treats my pets with the amount of love and care she treats her own.
Katelyn has always went above and beyond when taking care of our home and pets! She takes the extra step, not only to make sure they are taken care of, but to feel loved while we are gone! I continue to reach out to her when we need someone reliable, caring, and flexible!

Programa
I’m a teacher, so my schedule opens up a lot more in the summer, which gives me great flexibility for pet care. During the school year and summer, I’m available for evening walks or drop/ check-ins after 4pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays are mostly wide open for me, and I’m also available on Sundays. Look below for a schedule breakdown! In the summer, I have even more availability and can typically do morning, afternoon, or evening visits any day of the week (Sun–Sat), depending on the week. I’m also open to overnight stays when needed. I do have a few pre-planned trips coming up this summer: June 19–26th July 3rd July 16–27th Latest schedule until June 5th: Monday-Friday: 3-11pm drop-ins (dogs or cat) & dog walking Saturday-Sunday: SAME DAY BOOKING POSSIBLE for all day drop-ins (dogs or cats) & dog walking *unless specified for that particular weekend, might need at least 1 day noticing**
