I treat each animal as if they are my own. I look out for them, play with them, and love on them. Dogs and cats are my whole world, and I love nothing more than to meet many more! I have worked at a Humane Society for 2 1/2 years back in Arizona, only leaving in 2024 to move to Kentucky! I have a passion for animals and the love they share!

For most familys I have pet sat for, their animals either stay inside until someone is home, or they have a doggy door to a secure yard. I will do whatever my client wishes, though knowing the animal is safe inside while I am away makes me feel better in making sure your loved one is safe at home waiting for you to return! I am a guest in your home and I treat it as such, while I am comfortable there with your pets, I maintain a clean space and ensure the house is just as clean, if not cleaner, for when you return!

Katelyn is a fantastic pet sitter and leaving my dogs with her gives me so much peace of mind when I travel knowing that they are with someone so responsible and trustworthy. I have three large and rowdy dogs with a variety of special health and behavioral needs. Katelyn took the time to ask lots of questions and bond with the dogs before we ever even left. She does a great job of communicating and verifying travel plans and care instructions. She’s very respectful of our home and leaves everything perfect after staying over. In addition to trusting my own pets with Katelyn, I also had the opportunity to see her care for and handle hundreds of homeless cats and dogs (and one turtle) as former coworkers at an animal shelter. She has excellent dog handling skills and she is a total cat whisperer. She would be an excellent choice for anyone with shy or spicy cats as she’s an expert at earning their trust. No matter what types of pets you have, I’m confident that Katelyn will become one of their favorite people in no time!

Schedule
I am currently working at a lovely job which is flexible with my lunch breaks. Because of this, I will always use my lunch breaks to run to your home and make sure to check on your pets and take them out to go potty before I go back!

- I am more than happy to get the rundown when meeting you, though I always appreciate learning what a pets needs are before we meet. I have worked with many different animals over the years, especially during my time at a Humane Society. If you have an animal that needs medication or many trips outside to potty, I can handle that with ease! If you have a pet that is very fearful of new people, I am more than willing to spend as long as needed to get them comfortable with me. A stranger in their home can be scary, but I give them their space and let them come to me when they are ready, though a few treats never hurt!
