Between training and fostering service dogs for five years and caring for my own Golden Retriever, pet care has become a natural part of my daily life. I enjoy staying active, so walks, playtime, and one-on-one attention fit easily into my routine. A typical visit is tailored to each pet’s personality, energy level, and routine. For active dogs, I enjoy walks, fetch, tug, enrichment games, and plenty of exercise to keep them happy and engaged. For more relaxed pets, I focus on companionship, belly rubs, cuddles, and quality one-on-one attention. I also like to incorporate basic training reinforcement, mental stimulation, and positive interactions throughout each visit. Whether your pet loves adventure, playtime, or simply having someone nearby, my goal is to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and have fun while you’re away. Every pet is treated like family and receives the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own dog.

I have over five years of hands-on experience training and fostering service dogs through Kent State University’s service dog program. During that time, I worked with dogs of various breeds, ages, temperaments, and training levels, helping them develop obedience skills, socialization, and confidence in a variety of environments. In addition to my service dog experience, I have owned and cared for my own Golden Retriever since 2022. Through both fostering and pet ownership, I have gained experience with puppy care, basic obedience training, leash manners, medication administration, enrichment activities, and caring for senior dogs. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care that helps pets feel comfortable and secure while giving owners peace of mind. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, a drop-in visit, extra patience, or lots of affection, I will treat them as if they were my own.

I’m super excited for Katelyn to join Rover and help other people with thier dogs. She not only is great with older dogs but she is also great with puppies. Kate has worked as a volunteer in the past to help dogs become certified service dogs and find thier forever home so she is very helpful with basic training and walking commands. Anyone who uses Kate will feel super at ease through one of the harder processes of leaving your furry baby.
