Safety will be my biggest priority when working with your pet. I will make sure they are supervised at all times outside. They will always be leashed during walks and, I will make sure the equipment you've requested to be used is secure and put on correctly.

Let me know all about your dog — the more I know, the better I can care for them! I'm comfortable with all energy levels and life stages, from playful puppies to senior dogs who just want a calm companion. Understanding your dog’s daily routine helps me tailor their care to fit their needs. Things like potty break schedules, feeding times, walking preferences, and any equipment you use (harness, collar, muzzle, etc.) are especially helpful to know. If your dog takes medication or has allergies, please be sure to let me know. I’m experienced with administering meds and will follow any health or allergy-related instructions with care and attention. It’s also helpful to understand your dog’s temperament and any reactivity they may have on walks. I’ve worked with a wide range of personalities and behaviors, and knowing your dog’s individual preferences allows me to make our time together safe, enjoyable, and enriching.

Some dogs love a long walk full of exercise and adventure, while others are happiest just sniffing around the neighborhood and taking it slow. I always meet animals where they’re at — whether your dog wants to play fetch for hours or simply relax in a quiet spot, I’ll follow their lead. I respect each dog’s individual needs and boundaries, and take things moment by moment to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I also enjoy incorporating enrichment activities into our time together, providing both mental and physical stimulation. I have two years of professional animal care experience, along with a lifetime of personal experience with a wide variety of animals — including guinea pigs, fish, horses, goats, cats, chickens, and more! I’m also experienced in caring for animals with special needs and administering medications. Katelyn was fantastic house sitting our dog for 2 days. We've never left our dog with a stranger before and our dog generally struggles with us being away but she felt so comfortable with Katelyn, which says a lot about Katelyn's personality and her genuine love and care for dogs. Katelyn was responsible, attentive, made sure that she knew our dog's routines, and followed through with several particular instructions pertaining to our dog. She also was wonderful in sending us updates and pictures of our dog and we could see how well our dog bonded with her. We truly felt that our dog was well cared for. I definitely will be using Katelyn again in the future and I completely recommend her to anyone who's looking for a considerate and responsible dog sitter!
Katie was seriously so great. Our dog has a list of needs, and she handled all of them amazingly! Our dog Koda is reactive to people, the TV, and other animals and he is on 2 types of medication. He can be very hard to handle without the right knowledge or patience. Katie came in and stayed 2 nights with him and he did great. Koda loved her and probably wouldnt have minded if she stayed longer! She left our home clean and our dog well cared for. I would recommend her 1000x over. If you want an amazing dog walker/sitter Katie is the way to go!!
I can’t say enough good things about Katelyn! She was an absolute blessing. From the moment we met, it was clear Katelyn truly loves animals and takes her work seriously. This was my first time ever leaving my nervous/reactive dog Luna with someone other than family for 2 nights and 3 days. I am an anxious person in general and I obviously wanted the very best for Luna. Luna has specific preferences about how things are done around her. She needs her food prepared right so she eats. Even being leashed to go for a walk by someone other than me can be a challenge. Katelyn followed instructions perfectly to make sure Luna was comfortable at every step and had no issues! She is very professional and asks thoughtful questions before hand to make sure she’s prepared for her stay. She also sends great updates while you’re away to give you that extra peace of mind. Katelyn stayed in our home for the duration of care and left it spotless when we came back. Luna was her wiggly happy self upon our return home! I highly recommend Katelyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive pet/home sitter.
