When caring for pets, whether in my home or yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm, secure environment with a fully fenced yard that offers plenty of room for pets to run and play safely. We also have sidewalks throughout the neighborhood perfect for walks, a puppy play pen for supervised fun, and plenty of space to crate pets comfortably if needed. All areas are pet-proofed to prevent accidents, and I carefully manage food, toys, and any medications. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I make sure doors and gates are secure, hazardous items are out of reach, and I maintain open communication with owners about any special needs or behaviors. Building trust with pets and their families is important to me, so I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs.

Before watching, walking or doing drop in's with your pet, it’s important for me to know a few key things to make sure they’re safe, happy, and comfortable—especially since they’ll be sharing space with my dog, Cash, and my cat, Binx. Please let me know: How they do on walks—do they pull, get reactive, or have any leash quirks? If your pet is comfortable around other dogs and cats Any special routines, feeding schedules, or medications Their energy level, favorite activities, or anything that helps them feel at home Any behavioral quirks (like anxiety, chewing, or reactivity) Anything else that makes your pet unique! The more I know, the better I can care for them like one of my own.

When I watch your dog, I make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and fun! Depending on their energy level and personality, we might go on neighborhood walks, play fetch in the backyard, or enjoy some good old-fashioned tug-of-war. For pups who love to socialize, my dog Cash can keep them occupied. Camden will be taken to the grandparents because she likes a more quiet and slow-paced life. If they prefer a more relaxed vibe, I’m always happy to cuddle up, offer belly rubs, and keep them company while they nap. I also make sure they stick to their normal routine—feeding times, potty breaks, and any special care they need. And of course, I’m always up for snapping some cute photos to send you while you’re away!

I grew up in a dog-loving home—there was never a time we didn’t have a furry friend in the family. Since my very first pet, I’ve enjoyed caring for animals. Now as an adult, I have a dog and a cat of my own. My pup is a high-energy guy that I’ve raised since he was a puppy. We went through all the training together—lots of patience, consistency, and treats!—and now he’s a well-behaved, happy companion who keeps me on my toes. My cat is curious and full of personality, always finding new spots to nap and new ways to charm everyone. Fun Facts Just About Me: I moved to Hagerstown with my husband, 2 dogs and cat a few years ago. My husband and I recently got married in May 2026. I play adult softball and kickball. I love to be outside whether it's walking the dogs, attempting to garden or being on the water.

I was able to trust Katelyn with my 10 week old puppy while I was away at work for 10+ hours a day. My puppy has a heart condition which at the time we didn’t know much about. Katelyn provided regular updates to help ease the stress of having a a brand new puppy with this condition.
This was our first time leaving our dogs Bowser & Winston with anyone new for an extended period of time. Katelyn did a wonderful job all week by caring for them and sending updates (including pictures!) throughout the day! Do not hesitate asking her to look after your pets as they will be treated as if they were her own!!
Over the years, I have seen firsthand Katelyn’s deep love for animals, as well as her sense of responsibility, patience, and attention to detail when it comes to caring for pets, especially for dogs and cats. Whether it’s feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, or just keeping pets company, she is patient, gentle, and attentive. Katelyn is familiar with a range of temperaments and knows how to adapt to the individual needs of both dogs and cats. She is also responsible and respectful of the homes she visits.
