Availability
My schedule as a part-timer can be variable. My primary workplace schedule is typically released the end of the week (Th/Fr for the next Sun-Sat) and I often work 8:30-4:45, less often 9:30-5:25. For days I work at my primary workplace, I am available for walks and check ins in the morning before and the evening after work. There are times where special evening events and overnights are required with my position. Feel free to message and inquire; I’ll be as flexible as I can. For current overnight stays/housesitting, my per night rate is from 6p-7a. If you need something additional outside of this range, please let me know, and I will advise on my additional rates. I cannot do doggy daycare in my home as this would cause stress to my senior dog. I will make sure to update those services as I can :)

Safety, trust & environment
Your home is your pet’s safe space. I make sure to keep it that way. It’s your safe space, too, and I recognize you are trusting me with it. Even though your pet is cute and amazing and everyone in the world should see that, I make sure not to post photos of your pets or your home to any social media. Photos and videos go to you (and location goes to my family only for safety purposes). Cats always stay inside when I am the primary care human. Only exceptions are if they have catio area or similar safety devices for outdoor interaction (leash, harness, outdoor tent)
Information Katelyn B. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about any limitations the animal may have (e.g. can't play tug of war because of bad back, dislikes loud noises). I would also like to know their favorites :D
A typical day
I'm definitely a hang-out-with-your-pet sort of person. I enjoy playing and interacting with your pet, so you know when they're with me, they will not be bored or lonely, and won't be getting into trouble either. If you have an elderly or special needs animal who can't do too much walking or playing, I will still make sure they get the attention they deserve and are comforted while you're away. I put 2-4 hours for potty breaks in case you need to leave your home before I arrive in the evening, as I assume most animals rest at home several hours at a time.

Pet care experience
Who’s that lady hanging out with the dog instead of nibbling hor d’oeuvres at the fancy shindig? It’s me…and let’s be real here, I’m also nomming on the appetizers. But don’t worry. I don’t see your pet as a party favor. Their autonomy as their own living, thinking organism experiencing life is important to me, and I will treat them with respect. I am consistently blown away by dogs: their default setting of hopefully friendship with every new person and tbeir capacity for making meaningful relationships without having to say a word. I would love to be a caring comfort while life requires some adult responsibilities that take you away from your favorite furry friend—both for your pet and for you! A little about me and my background: I am 36 years old married lady. As a newborn, I came home from the hospital to a face full of Doberman nose and have always had large breed in my homes, but do have experience with small breeds. I have been pet-sitting since I was a kid—my first job were two collies and a cat. I currently am a part-time educator at Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical gardens, with experience a marine mammal trainer and zookeeper. I welcome discussion of behaviors and taking a crack at helping out using operant conditioning and clicker training. Feel free to ask any questions. Reviews

Katelyn did an amazing job taking care of our dogs while we were away! She communicated exceptionally well from start to finish and kept us updated with plenty of pictures and videos, which made it so much easier to relax knowing they were in great hands. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly received lots of love and attention. She also left our home neat and tidy, which we really appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Katelyn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring, and professional pet sitter!

She did such a wonderful job watching our four animals (two dogs and two cats) over a long weekend, handling medication, providing above and beyond care, and giving them lots of love! Very communicative, quick to learn, and well-rounded. Will definitely be booking again! 🐶🐱🫶
Great stay as usual!
Katelyn was a wonderful sitter and I highly recommend her! She was very good at communication, sent video and pic updates, and left my house exactly as I left it. She did a great job and I will use her in the future.
