I am a full time Computer Science student at exeter university, however I do the majority of studying from home. This means my weekday schedule is very flexible, and I’m happy to fit around your dog’s routine. I do occasionally go home for holidays or some weekends, so I may not always be available during those times.

I have a secure, escape-proof private garden where your dog can play safely, enjoy some quiet time, or sunbathe on the deck if that’s their style. My home is pet-friendly, with animal-loving housemates, a comfy sofa for cuddles, a kitchen for mealtimes, and plenty of space for play. I also hold a full driving licence and have my own car, so—with your permission—I can take your dog on countryside walks outside the city. For high-energy dogs who need extra stimulation, I even have a bike and can take them along for runs to burn off that energy in a fun and safe way. For puppies or older dogs, I completely understand that accidents happen — whether it’s pee, poop, or even the occasional sick spell. I’m more than happy to clean up and make sure your dog feels cared for and comfortable afterwards. And of course, plenty of love, patience, and cuddles will always follow!
Information Kate W. would like to know about your pet
Some useful information you could give me: Routine: What’s their usual feeding, walking, and sleeping schedule? Health & special needs: Any medications, allergies, joint issues, or health concerns? Behaviour: Do they have separation anxiety, reactivity to other dogs, fear of loud noises, or anything I should be mindful of? Likes/dislikes: Do they love car rides, swimming, fetch, cuddles? Do they dislike certain dogs, strangers, or being left alone? Training level: Are they house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained? Any cues or commands they know (or ones you’re working on)? Emergency info: Vet details, preferred emergency contact, and what you’d like me to do in case of illness/injury.
A typical day
Every dog needs a different daily routine. For the cuddle-at-home dog We’d start the day with breakfast and a little time outside in the garden. Then it’s all about a calm, cosy routine — plenty of company, gentle play, and long cuddle sessions on the sofa. I’d make sure they’re let out for potty breaks regularly and enjoy some quiet garden time before settling back in for more love and attention. We would go on one or two walks, not overly exerting but getting the exercise in. We would talk about life, gossip about neighbours’ pets, and even have spa days (I am happy to groom dogs in my shower/bath if a dog towel and shampoo is provided) For the high-energy adventurer After breakfast and some play, we’d head out for a long walk — either around Exeter’s green spaces or, with your permission, a drive to the countryside for a proper run. Later in the day, we’d mix in interactive games like fetch, tug, or even bike runs for extra stimulation. Between adventures, I’d make sure they have water, rest, and downtime to recharge. For the curious puppy The day would include short bursts of play and basic training, keeping sessions fun and positive (sit, stay, recall, leash manners). Frequent potty breaks, naps, and gentle socialisation are built into the routine. Puppies need structure, so I’d balance energy-burning playtime with plenty of rest and cuddles to help them feel secure.

Patient, Loving Dog Sitter | 12+ Years Experience
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m a 19-year-old dog lover and student offering reliable, calm, and caring pet care. I am new to Rover, but not new to caring for dogs — I have over 12 years of experience with my own Border Collie, as well as looking after friends’, family’s, and neighbours’ dogs. I adore all dogs, whatever their size, temperament, or breed, and I’m just as happy heading out on long walks as I am providing cuddles and company at home. I’ve had 12 years of hands-on experience with my own Border Collie, who I trained from puppyhood (despite her typical collie stubbornness and clever streak!). I’ve also looked after friends’ and neighbours’ dogs, so i have fair experience with many breeds. I grew up with two cats as well, so I’m comfortable caring for them too. I have had pets my whole life, caring for animals is second nature to me.
Reviews

Our German Shepherd, April, absolutely loves Kate. Kate is incredibly patient, sweet, and professional, and it’s obvious that April felt happy and comfortable with her. April had a fantastic time, and we wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Kate.
Kate has been fantastic looking after our cheeky puppy so we could go to some important appointments. It was clear how much he had grown to love her whenever she arrived and she made us feel very relaxed. We knew he was in good hands 😊
Kate is nothing short of superb! She is a natural with dogs and we have one challenging dog. Kate was patient, kind, professional and won over our dog and his nervous ways within minutes. Our dogs love her. We think the world of her.

Kate was great with the dogs and took care of my house. Would recommend for sure!
