I'm currently taking a career sabbatical, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits most days. I love getting outside for walks, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my routine. I'm also happy to work with your dog's normal schedule to help keep things as consistent as possible.

My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I'll follow your routines as closely as possible, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, or reinforcing the habits you're working on at home. I always use secure leash handling, pay close attention to each dog's comfort level around people and other dogs, and never take unnecessary risks. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you know your pup is happy and doing well.

A typical day
Every dog is different, so I like to tailor each visit to their personality and energy level. Some dogs love a brisk neighborhood walk through Ballard, while others are happiest with a slower sniff-filled stroll and plenty of attention. During drop-in visits, I'm happy to play fetch, practice simple commands, provide fresh water and meals, or simply keep your pup company with lots of pets and affection. My goal is always to make sure they finish our time together happy, exercised, and relaxed.

Hi! I'm Kate, a lifelong dog lover living in Ballard with my husband and our sweet 13-year-old Weimaraner mix, Duncan. I'm currently taking a career sabbatical, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to spend with the dogs in my care. Whether your pup needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or devoted extra attention while you're away, I'll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and personalized care. I've previously been a Rover sitter and am excited to start again! I know how important it is to find someone you trust, and I'll care for your dog as if they were my own. One of my favorite ways to spend the day is exploring the neighborhood on foot. Duncan and I regularly walk around Ballard, including the Ballard Locks, Golden Gardens, Sunset Hill, and the many quiet neighborhood streets. Whether your dog enjoys a leisurely stroll or a more energetic outing, I'm happy to match their pace and routine. I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you always know how your pup is doing while they're in my care. I'd love to meet you and your pup!

Kate did a fantastic job taking care of our pups while we were out of town. They are a little high maintenance and she was able to take all of their needs into account. We received daily updates and photos, which let us know that everything was okay! Would definitely book with her again!
Kate was wonderful! Our pup clearly liked her from the start and made my husband and me very comfortable. She was very flexible and understanding with changes in our vacation due to being new (human) parents. Kate was also extremely kind and helpful when we lost power for a few hours. We loved getting updates on Sadie and we just hope that Kate is free next time we go away because we absolutely want her to dog sit again!
Kate was sinply amazing, she kept us on the loop and our dog had a great time under her care (one week). Highly recommended and will hire her again.
