I would not recommend Kate to anyone. We booked Kate to do two nights/three days of housesitting for our cat and dog (including spending the night) after doing a meet and greet with her. Upon arrival, she failed to follow feeding instructions for our dog that we had discussed verbally and that were also in a printed-out packet of information that I left at our house for her. The first night of her stay, she went out and came home heavily inebriated around 10:44pm and took our dog out, but then didn’t take her out again until the next day at 11am (12 hours). I had outlined our dog’s usual bathroom schedule in the packet, and this was too long for any animal to go without using the bathroom. The next day, she continued to feed our dog incorrectly and left the food out all day, which we explicitly said not to do. I also reviewed our camera footage for the inside camera (that she knew about) and it looks to us that she didn’t refill our cat’s dry food a single time over the course of the stay. The second night, she left the house around 10:30pm and did not come back until 8:30am the next morning, which means that she didn’t stay at the house like we asked her to – our animals were alone all night and were restless, which I could see on the inside camera. When we got home, our cat’s food bowl was empty, and the litter had not been scooped for what looked like whole time we were gone. All of the things that I mentioned that she did not do are things we asked her to do – she created a stressful situation for us and (more importantly) our pets.

Kate went above and beyond what I had asked for and even scheduled a meet up prior to our vacation. I was so much less worried having her watch my kittens and send updates. Highly recommend!
