I set my schedule around whatever I need to get done that week, and I like to stay flexible in case something comes up last minute. That includes care for your pet, whether you want a quick drop in or a longer hang with a walk and maybe some play time if they're up for it! I'm also always happy to bring a book and read quietly with your pet if all they really want is a lap to cuddle on.

I'm comfortable crating dogs if they're trained to do so, and taking them out on walks as needed. If your kitty likes to hide, I'll ask if they have typical spots so I can always make sure I at least put eyes on them for a quick hello if they're feeling extra shy!

Let me know if your pets have any specific hiding spots I should know about. I have an extra quiet black cat who is a master of finding new hiding spaces, so I'm good at tracking pets down! I also want to know what motivates your pet-if there are extra treats or toys to have on hand that's helpful info for me, or if they're attention motivated I can plan on a longer than usual hang.
A typical day
I love games that get pets thinking, puzzle treat dispensers and snuffle mats are big favorites in our house! I'm an active person with a kitty who needs LOTS of physical exercise, so I'm always down for a long walk or running around the house with some toys. If they're game, so am I.

Pet care experience
I started working in animal welfare in 2009, but have been caring for animals since middle school. My family and friends have always turned to me for pet care in a pinch, or if they know their pet is on the high maintenance side and needs a little extra when they're out of town. I have experience in canine behavior and feline behavior and have years of experience with medical care in animals. Additionally, I worked as a client care professional in a veterinary ER and know what sorts of symptoms indicate that your pet may not be feeling well. These days, I mostly just want to care for other pets with all the love that I give my own (and believe me when I say my kitties are SPOILED!)
