Active retiree who loves animals!
I've taken care of animals most of my adult life, first for my own family, then later when my kids left home, I took care of their animals as needed when they are away on vacation . My younger daughter has been an active pet sitter with Doggie Vacay and now Rover in AZ, for many years. I helped her set up and run this service, with her as the primary caretaker. as we lived together. My husband and I have recently relocated back to CT from AZ, and I miss the interaction with all the pups and look forward to having that in my life once more!

Schedule
I am retired, as is my husband, and taking care of your pup would be my primary responsibility. We live close to the boardwalk in West Haven, and daily walks near the ocean are a must for us, weather permitting. I will be home with your pup all the time, with plenty of opportunity for potty breaks and walks throughout the day. We typically do not crate any dogs, unless it is at the request of the owner for the dog's benefit, if they are skittish or shy around new people, and feel safer in their crate.

I have a fenced yard, and a covered front porch, where we spend much of our time when the weather is nice. I love to play with small animals, but their safety and well being is the most important aspect.
A typical day
West Haven boardwalk is heaven for dogs! Your pup would be walked several times a day, if not more. The sights and sounds of the ocean, birds, and nature are right outside our door. At home, when it's down time, we love to cuddle with the pets on the couch or on our laps while watching some tv or a movie.
