We love pets more than most people!
Hi, I’m Kate! I have helped raised dogs and cats from puppies and kittens since 2004. Before that and ever since, I've cared for individual needs of my own pets, neighbors' pets, and have also found lost dogs and cared for them until I found their owners. My dog, Sadie, had a skin allergy to dry food and outdoor elements, so I cooked batches of "people food" for her 3 - 4 times a week, and bathed her every 5 - 7 days by veterinarian's orders. I even made chicken jerky for her 10th birthday party so our friends could feed her healthy treats! I also rescued a bearded dragon from starvation and depression. Upon learning a friend's roommate had left town unexpectedly and his dragon had stopped eating, I visited the home, subsequently subletting the vacant room, to care for the reptile. I spent time gaining his trust, bathing him, and holding him, bringing him back to a healthy weight and hygienic environment.

My partner, Nate, often referred to as Cat Dad, is a natural animal magnet. Despite his 6'5 frame and potentially loud presence, he is a patient and gentle giant who can walk the strongest dog and soothe the smallest kitten, but won't do so at the same time. We will communicate with pet owners as often as they would like. Some of our clients have requested photos directly via text or email, rather than through the app. Other clients have requested we don’t send photos, just text updates. We will gladly send as many photos and updates as you would like!

Nate and Kate are fantastic. They stayed at our house for a week and took care of Kaley, our soft coated Wheaten terrier and Kiwi, our parrot. Kaley is getting older and is on meds. Nate and Kate made sure she was well taken care of. I highly recommend Nate and Kate.
I so appreciate the great attention given to Bistro while I was away. Kate did a wonderful job keeping my very picky dog Bistro eating and happy while I was gone. I came home to a spotless house and a happy dog! Can't ask for anything better when leaving your sweet pet at home while traveling. Thank you Kate for being so wonderful and we will see you again!

This last trip was the longest we've been away from our doodle, and we are so grateful that Nate and Kate were with her while we were gone. She's used to having us home with her all day, and with Nate working remotely, she had the company she's used to having. They did the usual daily check-ins with photos, and they really seemed to enjoy all the animals. The most important thing, though, is our dog's demeanor when we got home. She definitely missed us, but she was relaxed and happy, and that tells me that she had great companionship while we were gone. Kate and Nate were super communicative and kind, and a perfect fit for our zoo and our home... Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Schedule
We currently work from home, so whether we need to take a break for a walk or bring our computers to your house for sitting, we're flexible! Since there are two of us, there is almost always someone available to stay with your fur-babies for as long as needed!
