At this time, we are not able to board your pet in our home. Our current senior dog does not get along with other dogs. We are happy to stop by your home up to three times daily for drop in visits and may be able to do some in-home pet sitting on a case-by-case basis. Don't hesitate to ask.
Information Kate M. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has special needs, let's go over that during our meet and greet. I can give oral medications, if needed. I do not have experience administering injected medications and confess that I do not do well with needles. If there are behavioral concerns (ie bolts for the doors or would do better if I can offer a treat when I come in the house), no worries, just let me know.
A typical day
For drop-in visits, I follow your outlined routine as closely as possible. I may bring a book and sit on the couch to read a bit if your pet just likes to have someone in the house for company. If they like to play or have someone talk to them while giving pets, I can certainly do so. Additionally, I enjoy walking and running and always welcome a canine buddy. Depending on how well they do with other animals, I can follow your usual route in your neighborhood, or head out to Banner Forest or Kitsap Regional Park.

Pet care experience
My significant other and I have had our own dogs for over a decade now, but have been training dogs since we were kids. We have train dogs in personal protection, service dog tasks, and for fun. I have experience working a veterinary clinic and a board and train facility. Above all, our dogs are family to us, and we are very picky about who watches them. I expect that you feel the same. If we are caring for you dog/cat while you're away at work, or out of town, we will do more than just stop in to let them out and feed them. We are happy to spend time with your dog(s) whether they like playing outdoors, or just staying in and having company. I'm also a pet photographer in my spare time and never turn down a request to send photo updates, or take some great shots that you might want to share on Facebook, or frame.
