At this time, I can only accept lunchtime walks on weekdays depending on the time and location, due to commute time on the bus. I don't drive but am able to get to many locations within HRM.

I've owned dogs for most of my life so you can be sure I'll remember to do all requested tasks since I'm already used to taking care of them. I'm a naturally active person who enjoys trails, hills and long walks so your dog will benefit from joining me. I have lived with cats for 4+ years so I'm familiar with their care as well. I don't offer boarding in my home but if I meet your pet a few times and deem them a good fit, we could make an exception.

Is your dog friendly with other dogs? Does your dog have any history of aggressive behavior? Are any parts on your dogs/cats body sensitive? As mentioned above, I use the bus/ferry for transportation. This will require you to have some flexibility around the time of visits. I can assure you that the quality of my service will make up for a slight delay. We can discuss the possibility of delays during a meet & greet.
A typical day
I prefer to get up early and get outside pretty much immediately. I like to fit in a walk or run before bed too. I'm typically out of the house between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. but that depends on the day. I'm free some evenings but have a non-negotiable commitment every Thursday evening and Sunday morning. I live in downtown Dartmouth.

Pet care experience
Caring for pets is my full-time job and I have 22 years experience between my own pets and working with others. I strive to balance self assuredness with willingness to ask questions when it's necessary. I've owned very high energy dogs so I'm prepared to be outside in any weather. Special note for owners of Pit Bulls/Staffordshire terriers: I love pitties. I will never discriminate against your dog for their breed.

Kate is the absolute best. Leaving our dog behind when we travel is always the hardest and most stressful part of going away, but Kate has pet sat for us a few times and they make it so much easier. Our dog adores Kate and she clearly gets the attention and love she wants while we're away. Kate takes good care of our place and goes out of their way to clean up. I can't recommend Kate enough!
