Life is better with dogs!
Dogs make me smile. They've been a part of my daily life since I was born. I grew up with four family dogs and I have had two of my own as an adult. In addition to pets, I also have experience working and volunteering with dog rescues and I have fostered many dogs in my home over the years. I am a certified dog trainer and I am always continuing my education and looking for ways to improve myself as a dog companion.

This was our 8 month old’s first extended stay away, and we felt he was very well cared for physically and mentally. He was able to play with other pups and be separated when he needed it. Kate and family are calm and in control but also kind-hearted. It was very enriching for him, he felt loved, and we feel he grew up during his stay.
Very attentive to my pups needs, and good communication through out her care. Highly recommended!!

Kate was great. She is a professional. She's very communicative and tends to your dogs needs. She's got a great set up in her home and yard for day care. We'll be back.
We were confident from the first meeting that our dog would love staying with Kate and our expectations were only exceeded. We will definitely be bringing our girl back again!

Schedule
I am currently providing dog care services in my home full time. We get outside every day, rain or shine. I have a nice sized play yard for off leash exercise, we take neighborhood walks and outings to local parks. My daughter is 11 years old, and loves dogs too. When she's not in school she likes to join in on the dog walks and trips to the park. She also loves playing ball and dog grooming!

I have a fully fenced yard with a large dog door for easy access. I have a gate system that allows me to partition the yard into several separate spaces for stress-free introductions and in case pups need a break from one another. I also have a large covered area adjacent to the backyard for dry outdoor space when the weather is crummy. I have a four year old male named Major and while he can be a tad anxious at first, he loves to play with new friends once he feels safe and comfortable.
Pets
A typical day
We get out for daily walks, which include trips to the park to sniff around, people watch, and socialize. Major and I play in the backyard together, and even throw ball up and down the hallway in the house when the weather is bad. My approach is positive reinforcement. I love to incorporate puzzles and games and I find that the best way to train dogs is to just make it part of every day fun activities.

- Let me know ahead of time about any special needs that your dog may have. I'm comfortable with dogs from a variety of backgrounds and even have experience in administering insulin. Because of my pup's anxiety, my home is not a good fit for large male dogs with aggressive tendencies. Thanks!
