I am currently at home daily, therefore your dog won’t be left alone. I will check beforehand if your dog can be left at home at all (in case I nip to the local shop etc) - If they can’t, don’t worry, they won’t be left. When my partner is off during the weekends, we like to go for longer dog walks. This includes the beach or large parks. I will always walk your dog on lead for safety.

We have 2 gorgeous rescue dogs. Opal (around 6 years old). She’s a gorgeous mixed breed (Romanian street dog rescue). Very quirky, fun and super clever. Niblet - our newest fluffball, (around 2 1/2 years old). A tiny, friendly Chinese street dog rescue (possibly Shih Tzu/Poodle cross). Incredibly playful and silly. Both my dogs are neutered / spayed and good with other dogs. Sadly unable to take raw fed dogs. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Information Kate M. would like to know about your pet
💬 Before Your Dog’s Stay: Please let me know anything important about your pooch - allergies, routines, fears, behaviours, medications, quirks, or special requests. The more I know, the better I can tailor their care so they feel safe, happy, and completely at home.
A typical day
Your dogs will have plenty of company, treats, time outside and cuddles (if they like them). Any special requests - please let me know. Opal plays a lot of puzzle/reward games, she also loves scent work around the house. Plus a good nap. Niblet loves toys (we have plenty), cuddles, following me round like a shadow and sitting on my knee. Plus winding his fur-sister up 😅

I love dogs more than people :)
Pet care experience
I always said that I preferred dogs over people when I was a child… and it’s still true today. Myself & my fiancé have rescued 3 beautiful pooches over the years, giving us a huge understanding of dogs with varying personalities and traits. Your dog will be safe, loved, and truly understood in my hands. Dogs aren’t just pets to me - they’re family. In our home is myself (Hi I’m Kate 👋), my partner James and our 2 lovely small rescue pooches. I will be solely looking after your dog for: House Sitting, Dog Walking, Drop-in Visits and Doggy Day Care. As my partner works daytimes. However, if your dog is booked to stay in our home for Boarding, my partner will be looking after your pooch too - evenings and weekend. He is also a true dog lover and has grown up with dogs all his life. 🐕🦺 What I Specialise In: • Small dog care • Rescue dog understanding • Nervous, anxious, reactivity, or special quirks • Medication management and experience with chronic health issues (our beautiful dog Benji lived with cancer for 18 months, therefore I’m use to regular vet visits and administering medication) • Long-term stays: I have regularly looked after our previous neighbour’s dog, often for up to 3 weeks • High prey-drive dogs • Managing allergies • Supporting behaviour challenges like lead reactivity • Gentle, positive and understanding care 🏡 Home life: Your dog should hopefully feel right at home in our home. • Large, fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing, perfect for zoomies • Dogs are welcome on the furniture • Dog-friendly environment • Playtime with my 2 dogs, walks and lots of affection Please see the about me section below 😊
Reviews
Our 6 year old cocker spaniel stayed with Kate for 9 days. Prior to his stay we had a meet and greet where Maxwell could meet Kate’s dogs to ensure they would all be happy. Kate was friendly, always professional and clearly has an excellent relationship with dogs and she really took time to get to know Maxwell. Our dog is currently on medication and we were reassured and confident that Kate would manage his medication/needs throughout his stay which she did 100%. Kate asked about Maxwell’s routines and we were reassured that he was in excellent hands. We received regular updates and photos about Maxxys adventures which we loved to get and just knew that Kate was making him feel at home. Max enjoyed wonderful beach walks, training and played happily in the enclosed garden and we will definitely book in again and would recommend to others. Thankyou so much x

Kate took the time to meet our dogs before accepting the booking, which immediately gave us confidence. The meet-and-greet was friendly, professional, and very reassuring, and it was clear she was attentive and quick to notice our dogs' individual needs. As first-time users of her services, we couldn't have been happier and felt completely at ease leaving our dogs in her care. We wouldn't hesitate to book Kate again.

Our dog had a great time with Kate. She was so flexible on timings, allowing us to drop him and pick him up when suited us. And he had a wonderful time. He was so excited each day when he realised he was going to her house. He loved playing with Kate’s dogs. And it was really reassuring to receive regular updates and photos from Kate. She was also great during the meet and greet we did. Thanks Kate, we will definitely be using you again!

Kate and James are such lovely people to leave my precious Dolly with, I feel absolutely reassured each time that she is getting the very best care (and loads of cuddles!).
