I work from home and create my own schedule so aside from doing consults or sessions at a clients home for training, I’m rarely gone for more than 2 hours at a time. Dogs generally get to go outside for playtime and/or potty breaks every two hours. We spend as much time outside as they want and as weather allows.

Information Kate M. would like to know about your pet
Dogs must be crate trained or used to being gated/contained for safety reasons (ie. while they eat and sleep). This is not for extended times but for times when we have to leave, sleep, etc. If there is a question regarding this or a special circumstance please let me know. Your dog must be up-to-date on vaccines and flea/tick medication. I’d love to know what your dog likes- whether it be walks, cuddling on the couch, or showing me his/her tricks! Think of me as the “fun aunt”- I want your dog to come here excited, happy, have blast, and go home tired.
A typical day
I enjoy spending time playing relationship building games, like tug, with the dogs. We also often go for walks, play ball and wander the trails or open fields nearby.

I have over two decades of personal experience caring for dogs and knowledge of dog behavior as well as 7 years of professional experience as a dog trainer and canine behaviorist. This is my job so I take it seriously, and am licensed and insured. Please take comfort in knowing that your dog is being cared for by a professional that is home with them. I only accept 1-2 dogs at a time for boarding so your dog is able to get one on one attention from me. I accept any breed and don’t discriminate. I have experience with any and all kinds of dogs, working police K9, sport dogs, service dogs, rescue dogs, as well as reactive or fearful dogs.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Kate and her family. My mini Australian Shepherd, Sophie has a bit of an anxious attachment towards us, and Kate always makes her feel so calm and so happy. whenever Sophie comes home she is just relaxed and herself and it just is so nice knowing that she has somewhere to go where she will thrive! What we especially love about Kate she is responsive and always proactively gives us updates. Truly the best!
Kate was amazing! I was a little nervous using Rover for the first time but I will definitely be using Kate again! She was so responsive and amazing!!! Sophie had the best time!!!
Kate took so much time to help us with our new puppy. Kate watched our sweet girl for the weekend and provided us with many updates throughout the day. We are so thankful for Kate.
I booked Kate pretty last minute and over the holidays. We got so lucky that she was available! She was also so flexible with booking as our times for drop off changed a few times. During Bella’s stay, we got daily updates and the BEST photos (seriously, I am going to frame one that Kate took of Bella, it’s so good!). We were so comfortable leaving Bella with Kate and knew she would be in good hands. Bella is a puppy German shepherd and is a lot to handle.. we appreciate Kate being so patient with her and also giving her some training during her stay as well. We got so lucky that we found Kate and will definitely use her again!! Your pet will be in great hands with pet and you will be able to enjoy your vacation stress free and not have to worry about your furry friend!
