I've lived with cats and dogs most of my young life and all of my adult life. Whether they've been young or old, I've always taken the best care of all animals around me or entrusted to me. During college I looked after a wide variety of pets with ease, even a lot of older dogs with specific requirements or noted unfriendly cats. After college, my husband and I have adopted our own animals, which we love and care for as the important members of our family that they are. Our dog has been with us for 11 years, one of the cats for 3 years, and the other for 2. We've adapted to their personalities and have loved engaging with them during all different stages of life. As an illustrator, I work from home and get to know a lot of the miniscule idiosyncrasies of my fur-kids. I pride myself on being able to recognize what they're in need of at any moment and being able to accommodate it. As stated above, I love making new animal friends and will care for any pet I encounter as I would my own pets at home! I am patient and flexible--accepting that all animals have their own way of getting to know people and accepting them. I'm detail-oriented and will follow all instructions with care. The first cat I adopted myself unfortunately developed cancer early on and I became adept at giving her both pill and liquid medications. I've also taken care of many older cats with pill requirements and dogs with medication and dietary requirements. Outside of necessary details, I sometimes make special meals (eggs, plain yogurt, and carrots) for my own dog if she hasn't been spoiled in a while! My cats also get treats of dehydrated fish and sushi-grade tuna and salmon. So if you have special requests for your pet, even if they aren't health-related, I'm always down to help animals feel special and loved!
