I love making new animal friends!
I've lived with cats and dogs most of my young life and all of my adult life. Whether they've been young or old, I've always taken the best care of all animals around me or entrusted to me. During college I looked after a wide variety of pets with ease, even a lot of older dogs with specific requirements or noted unfriendly cats. After college, my husband and I have adopted our own animals, which we love and care for as the important members of our family that they are. Our dog has been with us for 11 years, one of the cats for 3 years, and the other for 2. We've adapted to their personalities and have loved engaging with them during all different stages of life. As an illustrator, I work from home and get to know a lot of the miniscule idiosyncrasies of my fur-kids. I pride myself on being able to recognize what they're in need of at any moment and being able to accommodate it. As stated above, I love making new animal friends and will care for any pet I encounter as I would my own pets at home! I am patient and flexible--accepting that all animals have their own way of getting to know people and accepting them. I'm detail-oriented and will follow all instructions with care. The first cat I adopted myself unfortunately developed cancer early on and I became adept at giving her both pill and liquid medications. I've also taken care of many older cats with pill requirements and dogs with medication and dietary requirements. Outside of necessary details, I sometimes make special meals (eggs, plain yogurt, and carrots) for my own dog if she hasn't been spoiled in a while! My cats also get treats of dehydrated fish and sushi-grade tuna and salmon. So if you have special requests for your pet, even if they aren't health-related, I'm always down to help animals feel special and loved!

Kate is so patient with my cat and so willing to try new strategies to calm him and keep him relaxed and playful. He has separation anxiety and Kate works so well with him! She’s very flexible and communicative.
Great! She arranged a quick meet and greet prior so we could discuss details of first-time care. Very easy and I felt relaxed leaving Lincoln in her care. Will definitely use again!
Kate was absolutely awesome with our two cats! Very quick responses and through her pictures you could tell they loved her!
Kate gives us peace of mind that our pup is well taken care of, on time as planned as always and she can read his energy well and gives him lots of love. So grateful for Kate!!

- I dont discriminate against any breeds, but I definitely want to know if your dog has any special needs or preferences. Breed can sometimes be an indicator of those needs/preferences so feel free to let me know. Interacting with a new person can be scary for any animal, especially if the familiar owners aren't around. If your dog has a special toy or treat or gesture that will help them be more comfortable please explain it so I can keep your dog feeling safe and happy!
