Hello! We are Jake and Kate. Individually, we have 10 years of experience at least. This ranges from our own pets and pets that we have cared for inside our families. We jump at the opportunity to look after them and so we thought, why not help other's? We have cared for a range of dogs, anywhere from a Beagle, Cockapoos, and Vizslas to larger dogs like Irish Wolfhounds, Bernese Mountains, St. Bernards, and Alaskan Malamutes. This includes rescues and puppies! We have some experience handling elderly dogs, and we aren't strangers to giving them our undivided attention.

We are extremely comfortable staying in new homes and find no stress adapting to house rules, dog care and medical needs. We value and respect other people's households and firmly believe that it benefits your pet for it to be in an environment it knows.
Ratings and reviews
This was the 1st time we have used rover.com, our Spaniel Rosie won’t settle at other people’s homes and we won’t use kennels. Kate & Jake were absolutely fantastic from the start, they came to visit before we went away to meet Rosie, and we got a daily ‘pupdate’ on where they had been and how she was. We will 100% ask for there help again as we can now go on holiday knowing she is safe and will be with two fantastic people who Rosie settled with straight away.
Kate and Jake provided attentive care to our pets and left our home spotless. They are friendly, warm and diligent house sitters and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
Excellent, thoughtful and enthusiastic dog sitters. Kate and Jake were the perfect match for our very energetic GSD cross. They left a very clean home and very happy pup. They took him on varied local walks and quickly figured out his needs keeping us updated. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using again in the future. Jake and Kate was amazing with Pip and Gip! Very trustworthy, reliable and comforting. They took the time to understand the boys needs and took care of them both sooo well. They always sent updates and photos/videos to ease my mind. Coming back to finding Pip and Gip super happy and in great shape was relieving. They were well fed, brushed, cared for and loved. Will definitely be booking with Jake and Kate again. Thank you both !!
Kate & Jake looked after Teddy over the Christmas holidays and took such good care of him. On Christmas Day they made a real fuss of him and kept us up to date with photos and videos whilst we were away. Could not recommend anyone else to look after my home and pet any better than Kate and Jake- top quality sitters! Thank you. Wendy B
Jake and Kate have been absolutely brilliant at caring for my Max. They took time listening to all of my requests and care instructions, and also went above and beyond looking after and giving the best experience for him whilst I was away. They sent lots of photo updates, and he was such a happy dog on my return. I couldn't have asked for more from them, they were so understanding, kind, and just the best caregivers. Schedule
We are both professional screenwriters and producers so much of our work is in around our homes. We are well adept at staying inside with a cuppa. However, due to the nature of our work, we are extremely eager to travel around the UK, see new towns, go on new walks and make new four-legged friends! P.S. We are amazing at procrastinating from work so you can trust that if your pet wants to play, we will be there.
