Where the dog has any aggression towards other people or animals or if there are certain situations or places to avoid. My goal is to keep the dog safe, happy and healthy. I also like to know if there is any training you are working on that you would like me to continue working on with your dog.
A typical day
It always depends on the dog and their owners and what is allowed. Depending on what’s allowed and what the owners are comfortable with, I love taking the dogs for car rides to the river or for a hike, or just going to an evening stroll. If the dog enjoys a game a fetch I’ll engage in that or maybe they just need some Netflix and chill. I’m happy to accommodate the pet and their wants and needs!

Pet care experience
I spent the last 3 years adopting senior dogs at the end of their life to give them a peaceful loving last home. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family. My senior Husky-Malamute mix had to be put down due to brain cancer and now I would like to offer care for other people’s dogs. I have a yard but no fence but love to walk w/ often leash, hike or visit the dog park less than 3 miles from my house. I have a large crate in-house for the dogs safety if the dog prefers that.

Kate was fantastic and made my first Rover experience completely worry-free. My dog Myka is a senior with a fairly involved daily routine, multiple medications on a strict schedule, a specific feeding routine, and some extra care needed on the stairs and just in general. Kate followed every instruction to the letter and I never had to worry once. She sent photo updates and checked in daily the entire time I was away, which meant so much for my peace of mind. Beyond just handling the logistics, it was clear Kate genuinely cared about Myka's comfort and about respecting my home while I was gone. I came back to a happy, well cared for dog and a house exactly as I left it. Already looking forward to booking Kate again, couldn't recommend her more.
Kate was great! We received a photo and an update nearly everyday. Our old dog can be energetic one day and sluggish the next, and Kate was willing to meet her where she was at each day. We appreciated all the extra care and attention to her needs.
Kate was SO great with our two dogs when they stayed at her house for a long weekend! I got pictures and updates daily and never had any doubt that they were safe and also being spoiled while in her care. Her son Gavin also loves dogs and was so sweet with our Bennie boy. 10/10 would recommend Kate!
Kate absolutely loves dogs - probably more than people! She has twice adopted an older dog with medical issues for the sole purpose of providing those dogs with their best end of days life! She definitely did that! She took them hiking and camping and gently cared for them giving them dignity and so much love. I have watched her grieve when they passed. Kate will put the dog's needs before her own, and they will be well cared for.
