Hi there! My name's Kate, and I'm a dog lover through and through. I grew up with dogs and have 10+ years of experience dog sitting and walking (including overnight home stays and drop in visits). From play and enrichment activities, to going on walks, to being attentive and detail-oriented with meals, medicine, and wellbeing, I treat each dog I care for like my own with lots of affection and love. A bit of personal background: I am originally from Omaha and am trained as a professional opera singer. I received my Bachelor of Music from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and my Master of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. ln caring for dogs, I have often done in-home stays for out-of-town folks. If your dog is vaccinated and gets along with other dogs, they are also welcome to stay at my home with my family and me, and our friendly black Labrador Dani (we have a fenced back yard). Regardless of what service you need, I would prefer to first do a meet and greet with you and your dog if possible. That way we can go over sitting information and any questions so I can provide the best care possible. I am comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once, though depending on how many dogs you have, that may affect my fee. I have experience administering medicine to dogs with treats or meals. I am happy to send frequent photo and text updates, to make sure you're always in the loop and have peace of mind. Please feel free to send any questions my way. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly black lab. I can take your dog for a supervised puppy playdate in my backyard in addition to walks upon request.

Kate was fantastic! There were wonderful photo updates and overall excellent communication especially when my plans/schedule got unexpectedly thrown into the air. She was super helpful and thoughtful and I know Nala had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone and will definitely not hesitate to check her availability for any future trips!
Kate has frequently cared for my dogs over the last three years. She is loving to them and very caring of their needs. She gives focused attention to each of the dogs and they have rewarded her with delight when she comes and sorrow when she leaves. Kate is adored by my Aussie, Darby. For me, Kate is always here at the time we set, she is kind enough to text me as often as I ask to hear from her - sending pictures and humorous accounts of my dogs' behavior. I can't say enough good about her. I am very happy for her that she is pursuing a higher degree in her field of studies, but I am so sad that she has left our city for at least the coming year because I know I won't find as dedicated a dog and house watcher as Kate has been. When I was on a business trip in the spring and the basement flooded in a serious rain storm, Kate called in friends to help her clean up the water and protect my things as well as my dog. She is utterly trustworthy, gracious and very fair in her rates. Most of all her gentle spirit brought out the best of the dogs - she is a genuine "dog whisperer" - she understands their needs and responds so kindly. Thank you Kate for being the all time best dog carer that I could imagine for my beloved Fergus, Duffy, Darby and Barry.
Kate is the best petsitter I have ever worked with, hands down. She has stayed at my house multiple times, and sometime for more than a week at a time. Each time she has stayed she took exceptional care of my dog and cat. She reached out to me a few times a day to give updates on how my pets were doing, share funny stories about them, send pictures, and generally reassure me as an anxious pet parent. It's clear Kate loves animals, and they love her too. When Kate pulls up my animals are excited to see her, then calm right down, signaling to me that they trust her. I've only had positive experiences working with Kate. I'm sure you will too!
