Home Away from Home
I have lived with and care for dogs most of my life. I raised them from when they are puppies until their natural end of life. I have volunteered at a local shelter and received trainings in dog care and training. My house has a big yard which is totally and securely enclosed where dogs can run around and play. There are also a roofed patio, tree shades, and a doggie pool when they need to cool down.

Took great care of our pup while we were visiting San Diego!
We booked this person for the whole day. We told her we were on our way and running late. She said she would not be home. We paid her for the whole day, not just an 8:30 am start time. I asked her if she stays with the pets all day. She said no, she runs errands. So she would not be home when we arrived. I don't understand. If you book someone to watch your pet all day. They should be home all day and not run errands. We fortunately found someone else very last minute

Thank you Kate! Our first time ever leaving our two dogs with anyone and couldn't have been any more pleased. Kate sent us updates and pictures and we had no worries while they were in her care. We will definitely rebook when we need a sitter. Highly recommend
Kate was very attentive to my dog’s particular needs, I felt very confident that my dog was well taken care of with her. She provided feedback and photos regularly. She is great at what she does!
Kate is great. Our doggie is really happy to be dropped off and it also becoming better socialized around other dogs since having daycare with Kate.

Schedule
I am retired and stay home most of the day. My neighborhood is safe and very fit for taking walks. I often take trips to dog beach over the weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
Since I am at home most of the time, I can keep eyes of your fur babies very closely. I have monitoring cameras so that Ican keep eyes on them even while I am out running errands, etc. I only take limited number of dogs (depending on their size and familiarity to my house) a given day so that everyone can have their own spaces. In an unlikely event of your dog needing medical attention, I will try my best to bring him/her to his/her vet, but in a more unlikely event of needing immediate medical attention, please understand s/he will be taken to the nearest vet. If your dog has any food allergies or restrictions, please make sure to mention it. Ther are a few houses in the neighborhood which offer free treats and my dog always beg for them during a walk.

A typical day
The yard is big enough to play fetch. I have toys and pool (in summer). I also have a separate enclosed area for a dog who prefers alone time. I take my dogs for walks for unset amount of time on unset schedule and usually one or two trips to Fiesta Island over the weekend. I take the dogs that I host to walk or beach, to the extent possible (unless otherwise requested not to do so). But, if you dog requires a certain length of walks or on certain schedule, please book walks, I do not offer stand alone walks.
