I am retired and stay home most of the day. My neighborhood is safe and very fit for taking walks. I often take trips to dog beach over the weekends.

Since I am at home most of the time, I can keep eyes of your fur babies very closely. I have monitoring cameras so that Ican keep eyes on them even while I am out running errands, etc. I only take limited number of dogs (depending on their size and familiarity to my house) a given day so that everyone can have their own spaces. In an unlikely event of your dog needing medical attention, I will try my best to bring him/her to his/her vet, but in a more unlikely event of needing immediate medical attention, please understand s/he will be taken to the nearest vet. If your dog has any food allergies or restrictions, please make sure to mention it. Ther are a few houses in the neighborhood which offer free treats and my dog always beg for them during a walk.

I thoroughly review the care information at the beginning of our time together. Please include as much information as you wish. For overnight boarding, please bring food in (a) sealed container(s)/bag(s). Snacks and bowls are optional. Bed/blankets and toys are also optional (I have some). Please leave things which you do not want to be broken at home. Some dogs like to chew on things.

The yard is big enough to play fetch. I have toys and pool (in summer). I also have a separate enclosed area for a dog who prefers alone time. I take my dogs for walks for unset amount of time on unset schedule and usually one or two trips to Fiesta Island over the weekend. I take the dogs that I host to walk or beach, to the extent possible (unless otherwise requested not to do so). But, if you dog requires a certain length of walks or on certain schedule, please book walks, I do not offer stand alone walks.

I have lived with and care for dogs most of my life. I raised them from when they are puppies until their natural end of life. I have volunteered at a local shelter and received trainings in dog care and training. My house has a big yard which is totally and securely enclosed where dogs can run around and play. There are also a roofed patio, tree shades, and a doggie pool when they need to cool down.

My dog Benny absolutely LOVES going to Kate’s! Kate is always so helpful and available whenever we need her. I bring Benny about twice a week because he genuinely loves being there and playing with the other dogs. She has a nice clean yard where the dogs can run and enjoy themselves. He always comes home happy and tired, which says it all. We’re so grateful to have found Kate — it’s such a relief knowing Benny is happy and well cared for.
Kate did a great job taking care of my dog Paavo. This was his 2nd boarding stay with her and he loves it there. We both highly recommend Kate!

Kate provided a safe and comfortable home for our 2 pups while we explored San Diego. They were exhausted after playing all day. We will use Kate again when we need a dog sitter in the area.
