Kate was very flexible and receptive to the long list of instructions I sent her. She took good care of Bongo, even during very warm days, which Bongo hates. We will definitely look for her when we plan our next trip.
Kia ora Kate Hannagan is my niece but also has been my dog sitter numerous times. When we went overseas for a few weeks and a multitude of weekends, Kate would dog sit. Our dog required lots of attention & exercise and she made sure this was done. She communicated with us about how things were going, as Wilson our Spoodle is often anxious particularly when I am away. The whole family was away for several weeks and I felt reassured she was looking after him well. Kate follows all instructions and likes to have all the information about her charge. She is very responsible and just adores animals and loves giving them affection. Kate's father also has a dog, with a completely different temperament and exercise needs so she is experienced with different dogs. The house was well looked after too. We didn't experience this situation, but I know Kate would cope in an emergency with our dog if it happened, as she likes to find out information in advance .e.g vet's numbers, what do I do if this happens etc. Kate also sticks to the plan around food and treats - this is important to us. I am happy to be contacted again if you need any more information. I would recommend Kate highly as a pet sitter.
Kate has experience in being a responsible and loving pet caregiver from her time with Tui the dog, our family dog. Tui trained Kate well in how to be a good dog owner including getting regular walks, being fed twice a day and getting lots of cuddles and scratches. Dogs respond well to Kate and I think it's because they know she likes them. Kate is able to tell what a dog needs and her kind nature comes through when she interacts with pets. Kate will make a great pet caregiver.
Kate looked after our two old dogs for a couple of weeks, and it was a great success, the dogs were clearly very comfortable and bonded well with her. She was great at communicating updates to us over the period. We'd certainly be very happy to engage her again.

Schedule
I am available for pet sitting on the weekends and weekday evenings. I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and am available for walks, drop-ins and feeding over lunch-time. Please let me know if you have any requests outside of these times and I would be happy to accommodate.
