I am currently a part time university student at the university of Calgary. I am home most of the day except for a few hours at a time when I am at school, or working as a tutor. I have a dream of becoming a teacher and have applied for the education program, but as of right now I am only doing a few courses, which means I won’t be leaving your pets for long. I have experience as a cleaner so you can be certain I will leave your house sparkling. I have also worked as a groomer, so if your pet needs a bath I can surely get that done. Your pets will not get lonely if you choose me to look after them.

I am an active individual who will go for lots of walks/runs with your dogs, I will keep to your schedule of feeding/wake up/walk times to ensure a smooth experience for your animals. I will give them as much attention as I can and always give updates on how they are doing.

It is important for me to know if your dog is allowed to be off leash, if so, must they be in a controlled environment (gated dog park) or not (walk along a river or not fenced off park). As well if your dog has any unusual behaviours, habits or reactions (drinks out of toilet bowl only, does not like short men with hats).
A typical day
If your dog is up for it, my regular dog sitting day looks like waking up early, giving breakfast, and going on a 30-40min walk. I would then go to school for a max of 2 hours and come back for an afternoon 20-30min walk. After some cuddles and play time I am out for about 3 hours before coming back, giving dinner and going on a nice 30-40min walk followed by a yummy treat. Your pet and I will then chill, cuddle, and relax before it is time for a cozy sleep to recharge and repeat.

Pet care experience
I grew up with a family dog, so I have had experience with dogs since I was young. However I have been dog sitting for 2 years and I love it! While dog sitting, me and your dog will always go for lots of walks, spend all day with each other and create a great bond. Dogs have been my favourite animal and many times my favourite mammals my whole life. I can not put into words how much each and every dog I have encountered has meant to me and just how much I love being with them. I have always had a dream of owning 5 dogs of my own one day, but until I have the funds and property for that dream I try to spend as much time as I can with other peoples dogs. When dog sitting I put a pause on my life and give all my attention to the animal(s) in my care. I try to go on at least 3 walks a day, one of which to a nice place for them to run, swim or play. I love falling asleep with a furry friend next to me and incorporating them into my every day routines. If your dog needs medications, a strict diet, lots of exercise, a play buddy, or simply someone to make them feel safe and loved, message me and I will go above and beyond to meet your dogs needs while keeping you updated throughout my stay.

If I could give 10 STARS, I would!! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Kate as our Rover sitter — she was truly exceptional from start to finish. Leaving your pet with someone else is never easy, but Kate immediately put our minds at ease. She was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. From the moment we connected, she took the time to understand our dogs’ routines, personalities, and specific needs, which meant so much to us. One thing that truly stood out was that while Kate didn’t have prior experience with diabetic dogs, she completely stepped up without hesitation. She was attentive, careful, and willing to learn everything needed to properly care for Frankie. Not only that, but when Frankie developed allergies during the stay, Kate went above and beyond and took her to the vet to make sure she was okay. That level of care, responsibility, and initiative meant the world to us. Throughout the stay, Kate kept us updated with regular messages, photos, and little notes that showed just how attentive and caring she was. It was obvious our pups were not only well taken care of, but genuinely happy, comfortable, and loved. That peace of mind while being away is priceless. She also built such a special bond with our dogs — especially Piper. It honestly says everything that Piper was so attached that she was upset when Kate left. That kind of connection is rare and speaks volumes about the love and care Kate gives. We came home to happy, relaxed dogs, which says everything. We would trust Kate again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and top-tier pet sitter. She’s an absolute gem!
Kate stayed with our 6 month old puppy, Sunny, while we were away the last week and could not have been more thrilled with her. She was so warm and caring towards Sunnt and you can tell is very experienced around animals. Our puppy instantly adored Kate and was very comfortable with her. Kate followed all of the instructions we left and was very attuned to what Sunny needed. She also left our house more tidy and organized than we left it. We would 100% have Kate back again and your pets are in great hands with her!
This was our first time having Kate watch our dogs, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, she was absolutely fantastic. Kate took our dogs on multiple long walks every single day, which we really appreciated. It was clear she genuinely cared about keeping them active, happy, and well-loved while we were away. She also sent us daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Seeing our pups relaxed and enjoying themselves made it so much easier to be away. On top of that, she left our home cleaner than when we left — and we left it very clean! That level of care and respect truly stood out to us. We will 100% be booking her again and would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and attentive dog sitter. She exceeded our expectations in every way. 🐾
