Safety, trust & environment
How I care for your pets is strongly influenced by what you share with me. Household rules like crating, furniture rules, and routines will all be discussed with you and then adhered to during my stay. I also offer to bring in the mail, take out the trash, water the plants, and feed the goldfish. You know, those little details that matter.
Information Katavah K. would like to know about your pet
Maybe that neighborhood squirrel is too hard to resist chasing. Maybe Fido is a master escape artist. Maybe toys are highly valuable and a source of potential aggression. Let me know if your pets have any special needs, quirks, etc so I can be as proactive as possible.
A typical day
If interested, I will provide basic obedience command training sessions (sit, down, stay, come, off, etc) using positive reinforcement methods. This provides a low-cost option for you since it’s included in the house sitting fee while providing the added benefit of stimulating your dog’s mind, whether currently untrained or trained. I can also administer oral or subcutaneous (insulin, for example) medications.

Pet care experience
I am respectful, kind, and trustworthy. Your pet(s)/household will be in safe, reliable hands with me. I have extensive experience with large dog breeds, too (grew up with Bernese Mountain Dogs). I believe in treating others’ animals and property as I’d want someone to treat mine. Does your household have a particular routine or preferences? Just let me know. I want you and your family to be as comfortable as possible. If you need oral or subcutaneous medications administered, I would love to help keep your loved ones in the best health possible. House sitting engagements will leave your property as if I was never there and your pets well loved and treated with the decency all living beings deserve. Currently a parent of a husky named Thomas and three cats named Tony, Calypso, and Tut. Cats and dogs- I’ve had one or both my entire life. I use positive reinforcement training on my own.
Reviews

K was an amazing sitter and house guest!! Our girls were in such a happy mood, barely missed us which is such a great sign of being well taken care of. Button was very filled out (healthy and good from her meds) which is a balance many sitters don’t get exactly right. She also took great care of our house and many packages that arrived while we were away. 20/10 recommend for your pets and house!

Kat was great!! Will definitely book again- took excellent care of our dogs including one of our dogs who is on medication & slower to warm up to new people. Sent picture & video updates, checked our mail for us & came back to the house in excellent condition!

Very pleased, thank you, Kat! Going to review your calendar so we can book our next sit.

Katavah is always such great help with our pup. She was so so kind and when I realized I booked for the wrong dates, she moved around her personal schedule to help me watch suz an extra night. She went above and beyond and so appreciative!
