I am currently an Elementary Education student at the University of Connecticut, but I have tons of free time to take care of pets, whether that be for drop-ins or for more personal care in my home! Currently I am available full-time and I can accept last minute bookings.

While dropping in to care for your pets, I will of course be incredibly respectful of your space, going only in the rooms I am allowed and touching only the items needed to care for your animals :) To care for animals in my own apartment, I have made sure that potentially hazardous items (small items, food, plants, etc.) are all put away/placed at a height that dogs and cats cannot reach. While I do not have a fenced yard, there are several parks around my apartment where I can consistently take your dog out on long walks. In my home, animals are also allowed on beds and couches! Please let me know if your pet requires any specific accommodations or changes to the environment :)

I am a strong believer in constant mental stimulation for pets! For that reason, I love to play games with them and take them on frequent long walks to explore the nature and all the new scents around my neighborhood :)

I am an animal lover through and through! I’ve been taking care of many different types of dogs and cats since as long as I can remember. I am comfortable around all dogs and cats, and I am more than willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal in particular. When I come to care for, play with, and walk your pet, I will dedicate my time to truly loving them. I have experience staying at owners houses to take exceptional full-time care of their pets, and I also have experience keeping pets in my home! I have practiced basic animal training such as teaching dogs and cats to sit, stay, and shake. I truly adore animals and I will enjoy every minute of caring for your fur-babies!

I left for vacation and had to leave my kitty, Riott, behind, and I’m so grateful I found Katarina. She was absolutely amazing with him and made him feel right at home. She gave him lots of love, paid close attention to his needs, and treated him so well. She also kept me updated every day with adorable photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It felt so reassuring knowing Riott was with someone who genuinely cared about him and knew how to take care of him. I will definitely book with Katarina again!
Katarina has been an exceptional dog sitter for my dog, Tilly. From the start, she formed a wonderful bond with her and has always brought a calm, reassuring presence to our home. Whenever I travel, Effy is the first person I trust to care for Tilly, and I always know she's in great hands.
I hired Effy to come over and feed my cat Caesar when my family was going on vacation for a week. She was punctual and reliable, made sure to let us know how he was doing frequently, and played with him consistently. Since then we’ve asked her to pet-sit multiple times. She is always happy to see Caesar or any other pet, and is very quick to earn the trust and friendship of the pets she meets. Your pet will be safe and loved with her!
