Hello, my name is Kat! 💕 I’m a cat-focused caregiver with an extensive fostering background. I don't use ChatGPT or AI with my profile or my clients. The quality of care I can give starts here, my entire profile is written by hand, by me and I take great importance in showing the attention to detail that will be reflected to the care that I can offer your kitty. I have experience working with all types of cat personalities ranging from easy going house cats, to ferals, medical cases, and special-needs kitties! I've lived with cats all my life and after losing my first cat to cancer, I ended up with a passion caring for other kitties in various foster and rescue programs. I just moved to SoCal from AZ and am looking for a way to care for kitties once again like I did in my old neighborhood! I have a colorful background with feline care that includes fostering, rehabilitating ferals, and caring for seniors and/or medically complex cats. I'm very comfortable reading kitty body language and adapting my care strategy to fit to the individual cat since they are all very unique with personalities of their own c: I can manage both feeding and medication schedules and have experience with cats with varying medical needs. I also have some experience grooming (deep brush outs, mat removal, nail trimming, sanitary trims, and waterless shampoo if requested) They can be shy, anxious, or spicy kitties and I'll provide the best care I can which varies between giving them space or providing more hands-on attention. If your cat needs someone calm, patient, and experienced I have you covered :)

As a guy who cant get to a vet easily, I want to say that I'm grateful for the care that my cat DIO received. He's a BIG cat with long fur and I didnt know until Kat reached out to me during the stay and let me know that he had many mats. When regular grooming wouldnt cut it, She took him to the vet with my permission to get the bad spots treated. I came back to a much cleaner more comfortable cat. Kat even coordinated with me to make sure his vaccines were up to date. You can be sure any cat in her hands will be well cared for :)
I decided to take a chance on Katarina and was not disappointed. Her knowledge and handling of my cats exceeded my initial expecations. She showed genuine care when handling my cats and I would recommend Katarina to anyone that is needing to have their own fuzzy bundles of joy looked after. Thanks again Kat!

I currently work my main job freelance so my schedule is 100% open and flexible ✨I am generally at home at all hours and available to meet the needs of your kitty whenever needed!

Safety, trust & environment
Leaving your pets home can be stressful especially if they have separation anxiety. I'll work hard to keep their routine consistent and reduce stress. I ask that your pets be up to date on vaccinations and flea preventative treatments, and during initial meeting I may check for fleas with a comb (Yes - indoor kitties can get them too!) to make sure there is absolutely no cross-infestation with any of the animals I work with c: ** A note for cats, regardless if you choose to contact me - I highly recommend to hire help that provides care in your own home (drop in/house sitting) in an environment your cat already feels safe in instead of boarding elsewhere. It would be the less stressful option for most kitties 💕

A typical day
I'll do the essentials for your cat for every visit: feeding, scooping litter, playtime, cuddles, quick brush for longhaired cats, water check, medicine, etc. as a general baseline. I change up how I go about caring for your kitty in specifics depending whether it's a house sitting or drop-in visits. I like to be flexible in the care I provide as every kitty is different and has their own needs and boundaries. I also have experience with light cat grooming (nail trimming, deep undercoat brushing, light matted fur removal, and sanitary trims.)
