Information Kat V. would like to know about your pet
I love all pets and really like to know what their favorite snacks are, where they like or don’t like to be pet, if they get along with people and pets and how they like to play! I also appreciate any safety plans that are in place and can be utilized, including veterinary information and transportation tools.
A typical day
I enjoy keeping a good pace while walking dogs, however if your pup would like to move a little more slowly and take in all the interesting smells, I'm happy to oblige! During drop in visits I try to provide pets with whatever is important to their owners. If they need exercise I will play ball and play chase. If your baby just wants to cuddle I'm very good at it! If they need mental stimulation I will utilize games, hide treats for them to find, or reinforce training that has been used to develop good behaviors. I have no problem getting gritty and simply want your pet to have the best time. My favorite part of pet care is the loving relationship I develop with all the animals I encounter.

I have been an animal lover and advocate since I was a young child. My experience with animal care began at 11 years old when I began doing chores at a stable to afford riding lessons. My work included feeding, watering, exercising horses, cleaning stalls... I learned a lot about hard work and the importance of caring deeply for our animal friends. By 15 I was working as a kennel technician for a veterinary clinic after school. Since then I have held jobs as an in home care taker, assistant riding instructor/trainer, grooming assistant, and even held positions at both dog and cat boarding and daycare facilities. I love animals and prefer to spend most of my time with them! While I have never had formal education in animal science, I have spent a hefty amount of time learning about these creatures and loving them like it’s my job :)
