Friendly, active & gentle guidance!
Dogs have been in my family since I was a little kid. I enjoy working with animals and have a solid understanding of how their brains work and how to help them have a positive experience away from you. My past dog, Kiowa, was Search and Rescue certified and I also worked for many years with a variety of horses. My whole family loves to play and engage with the dogs, and we incorporate them as part of the household when they are with us, which provides a reassuring environment for your furry friend. My goal is to help reinforce good behavior and make them feel loved. I do my best to use your commands to make it an easy transition for your pup. For boarding, I prefer dogs that are crate-trained but will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. For daycare, your dog will get to explore our beautiful valley, if that suits them. Living a minute's walk from a preserve and the Big Wood River gives us excellent opportunities to exercise your dog. I am also happy to take them for a xc ski or hike in the mountains, if they're up for it! If yours just needs a place to hang out calmly for the day, that works too! Our neighborhood is very dog friendly and a great place for them to enjoy a night away from home. I can' t wait to take care of your furry friend!

Kat was great! My timid pup warmed up to her quickly-she knew exactly how to approach her to make her feel comfortable. She took the time to understand my dogs personality, which made the experience so positive. I felt relieved to find someone I felt I could trust with my pup's happiness and safety!
Kat took such good care of our boy. We were sent many pictures of his adventures and felt very comfortable leaving him with her and her family. We would definitely recommend her to others!
Our pup Otis had a great time at Kats! She took him on lots of hikes and she sent lots of pictures. Unfortunately Otis had a bit of a tummy ache one night and kat was up with him at night and fed him rice to settle his stomach. She was the perfect dog sitter for the weekend!
Kat was great! Our little pup loved her, I don’t think he wanted to come back with us! She took him on tons of walks and kept him very entertained with toys. She also sent us a lot of pictures which was great! I would highly recommend her :)

Kat and her family were amazing with Tuna, my 5 month old puppy. Kat is very sweet, a superb communicator, and very flexible and helpful with logistics. I will definitely reach out to Kat in the future and I highly recommend her!
