My family has owned dogs since before I was born. I grew up taking care of them and learned to train each one by taking them to obedience classes and working individually with trainers. Every animal is different, so I take the time to learn what works for each one so they learn to trust me. My family's dogs have required various medications and special foods that I have had to administer. Though I grew up around dogs and love them greatly, I have pet sat for cats as well and love earning their affection just as much.

I have known Kat for several years now. She has taken care of my two rescue dogs when I have been away on vacation or a quick weekend. I know that while I am gone my dogs will be loved, fed and taken out accordingly. Kat takes care of them as if they were her own. She is responsible, reliable and trustworthy.

I am very good at following instructions left as would be expected, but also growing up around animals, I am good at anticipating their needs, especially as I get to know them. If your dog loves to play at home, nothing would make me happier. If you have commands or rules your animals are trained to follow and want them to be maintained, I will be sure to learn those; I have the ability to work with your dogs to train them in basic behavioral things (can anyone train cats though?).

A typical day
I love to provide both physical and mental stimulation for your dogs. Walks are the classic way I enjoy giving them exercise, but if your dog prefers playing fetch or tug, I'm even more excited. I also like working with dogs on learning tricks or helping with maintaining training they might have received if they are dogs who need more mental stimulation in their day, it's something you're interested in.

Availability
I have a very flexible job, so even though I work full time, I am able to come and go as I please, which leaves me plenty of time to stop in, play with, walk, and/or feed your animals and give them all the love they could ask for. As I don't have pets of my own in my house currently, I am free to pet sit anytime with enough notice.
