About Kat S.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
I know how stressful it can be to trust a stranger with your cats, and I love having the opportunity to help my clients have peace of mind so they can enjoy their trips without worrying about how things are going at home. I always provide multiple pictures and videos as well as a detailed account of how each visit goes, so you can feel comfortable knowing your kitties are in good hands. I’ve had multiple cats with medical issues, so I am experienced giving medication to non-aggressive cats orally, topically, and via injection if the cat is used to them. I’ve always gravitated toward cats, and I love how you have to earn their trust and respect. Behaviorally, my approach is research-based, using shaping and positive reinforcement to help cats be happy and get their needs met in ways that are acceptable to humans.
Information Kat S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your cat(s) requires medication(s) or has any other special needs. Some conditions are time-sensitive when it comes to meds, and I want to make sure I can accommodate specific times for you! My working hours are generally 8am-3pm. Booking notes: * If “anytime” of day is ok, just select a time period & let me know via chat. * If you have multiple cats but only want basic feeding/scooping services, send me a message; if we determine I can easily complete the tasks within the standard 30 minute appointment, I will not charge you for extra cats. * Visits booked with fewer than 3 days notice incur a 30% service charge.
A typical day
A big part of cat stress relief is playtime that engages their natural prey cycle (hunt-catch-kill, eat-groom-sleep), and I have a bag of cat-approved toys I can bring during my visits upon request. I have worked in Eugene as a high school teacher, ran my own consulting business (Feline Behavior Investigators), and as an accounting manager for a local software company. I'm a regular Jill of All Trades! I’m highly respectful of other people‘s property, and treat their homes like I would my own. I am detail oriented, so don’t be surprised if I take copious notes during meet and greets. I'm fully vaccinated and happy to mask up!

Kat's Sitting - just for cats!
Cat care experience
I'm Kat, and I love spending time with cats so much that I decided to do it for a living! I am one of only a few Rover sitters who does not charge extra if you have more than one cat :). Since I currently have four of my own (and I volunteer as a foster parent for a local cat rescue, so we have additional cats rotating into our home all the time), I know how expensive that can get. I think it's more ethical to charge for length of time needed instead of number of pets, especially since some cats are shy and may not want to interact with a sitter. Reviews

Kat is simply the best. She really knows cats, and she does her best to make them feel loved and secure when we are away.

Dear Kat, This is Coral writing to say thank you for playing with me and feeding me while my family was on vacation. Meow meow very much!

Kat is the best petsitter ever! She has cared for our kitties multiple times and I never worry when she's with them. Whenever I plan a trip, I check with her first to make sure she's available. She always goes above and beyond. She gets a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review!

Always amazing! Treats our friends like they are part of her family! We love Kat!!!!!!
