Your dog’s favourite holiday home 🐾
Hi! I’m Kat - so glad you’ve found me! I live with my husband, Matt, our two pre-teen children and our pets. I am fully DBS checked, for reassurance, with a career in childcare. However, I am currently taking a break, so that I can study, which means I’m lucky enough to be at home full time and absolutely delighted to give my doggy visitors all of my time, games, walkies and fusses as they like! My small terrier is super friendly and always ready to make friends, and since our other rescue dog (a large husky/German shepherd) crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago, our home is open to other dogs who are happy to treat the place like their own and become besties with my resident Rascal. It’s a cosy-feeling home , offering plenty of room to play and explore, with a secure grassy garden and some fantastic routes nearby, perfect for fun walks, exercise, and maybe a little swim before coming home for food, a snooze and regular tummy rubs and ear scratches! My children are always keen to play a good game of fetch, or a splash in the pool in the warmer months, but they are 10 and 12 years old so are equally fab at knowing when a dog is ready for some quiet time. I’m more than happy to accommodate any kind of dog and whatever their preferences and routines entail, so matter how quirky they are. I know how daunting it can feel to leave your furry babies with someone you don’t know, so meet and greets at my house prior to their stay are always welcome (if you want to; some owners might not fancy that, and that’s absolutely fine too) as well as any questions or requests you may have about us, our home or relating to your pet and how I can work my magic to make them feel safe, welcome and happy during their stay!

Sid was very anxious when we left him with Kat. He didn't want us to leave him alone. We walked away feeling upset. But, Kat worked her magic and Sid had a wonderful time for the next ten days. Kat kept us updated regularly with text and photos. We felt very happy with Kat and her family looking after Sid. I highly recommend Kat looking after your pet.
Jack our little lab had a 1 night sleepover at Kats. It was on one of the hottest days of the year. Kat made sure jack had plenty of shade available but all Jack wanted to do was go swimming in the pool. Kat and her husband are such lovely people and I would highly recommend Kat to anyone who was looking for a dog sitter. Kat is now Jacks new best friend. Thanks again Kat. Casey was even more reluctant to come home than before! He clearly enjoys having a big fuss made of him, and the photos of his happy long walkies are proof that Kat and family provide a caring and stimulating environment. Rebooking already. No hesitation in recommending Kat D.

Safety, trust & environment
I’m more than happy to set up a bed or crate during your pet’s stay, if this is what you prefer. However, when I’m at home, the animals are able to roam the house and garden at their own leisure - my home is their home! Quite often, dogs will ignore their own bed at night and join me in mine instead and that is absolutely fine by me!
Pets
A typical day
We are surrounded by some fantastic walking routes; long and short, so I would make sure your dog(s) can enjoy those, once their breakfast has gone down, whether they are off-lead explorers or prefer to remain a little closer. Plenty of ball throwing, stick fetching, stream-swimming, tummy tickling fun!
