I currently work from home, with time in the office as needed. As I have my own pets, I am already well used to managing their needs around my work and responsibilities. We usually go for a short walk in the mornings before getting started, with a longer walk around lunchtime and/or in the evening depending on the time of year.

I have a designated space for our canine houseguests to relax, however most of their time is spent with us in the main living space. If need be, we are able to crate them overnight, or they can sleep in the bedroom on our very comfortable doggy alcove. We also have a secure enclosed garden which the dogs have use of for any late night wee's, or if they can't handle longer walks for any reason (too young, in recovery, reactive, in season, etc.) and just need an outside space to enjoy.

Please let me know if your pet has any requirements, eg: dietary/medical requirements, allergies, toilet training, lead control, special/unique commands. If your dog needs a more secluded area for walks due to nerves or focus issues, I can easily accommodate this. Please also let me know if your dog suffers from separation anxiety, or has any unique quirks we should be aware of. It is paramount that your dog’s vaccinations are up to date. If your dog is showing any symptoms of kennel cough, or may have been exposed, please let me know. If you have a tracker for your dog, feel free to share their location data with me for the duration of their stay. I personally use Tractive for all of my pets, which offers both location and activity tracking, so I can definitely recommend them as a loyal customer. A typical day
I love to give your dog a breadth of fun and interesting experiences. Depending on their personality and training, we might do some woodland or beach walks, or wander up one of Edinburgh’s ‘seven hills’. We have a lot of ‘doggy friends’, so sometimes we meet up with them and go on big pack walks, which I’ve found most dogs really enjoy, and is very good for their socialisation. I bring my own dog and cat along on most of my wanders, including when I go into town, and they are regular fixtures in Stockbridge and the New Town - my canine guests are included in these high-stimulus adventures on a case-by-case basis (as not everyone is happy with so much going on around them). At home, things are much more relaxed as everyone is usually tuckered out from our big adventures. We play with everyone’s favourite toys, do some group activities or some individualised training, and make sure your dog has their own spot where they can feel safe and comfortable, and won’t be bothered by my own pets (this usually entails their own bed or crate, or one of our doggy blankets folded up if they don’t have one). I have been a dog (and assorted other pets) owner all my life, and have often pet-sat for friends and family. I have a beautiful maturing German Shepherd, who has proven to be a great influence on all the dogs we have looked after; despite her youth, she is incredible at adjusting her behaviour to suit almost any dog. Your dog(s) will be looked after as if they were one of our own, with any individual requirements paid due attention. We have a large enclosed garden, and are within 10-15mins of several lovely wooded areas, along with a few waterways - there is plenty of variety for long and short walks, so your baby will never be bored. We typically do a few short walks throughout the day, with one big long walk in the morning or evening to really explore and get tired out. We are more than happy to help work on improving any commands you feel need special attention. We also have a cat who sometimes comes along on walks on his harness and is extremely unbothered by dogs. Between them, the dog and cat have been wonderful in socialising and desensitising some of the dogs we know. I will consider hosting unneutered dogs and bitches in season on a case-by-case basis, provided you are happy for them not to be allowed off leash so we avoid any unwanted pregnancies! 🤗 We have a car, and would be happy to provide pick-up/drop-off if required for a small charge depending on distance and length of booking. This was the first time using a service like this for as long as I have had dogs (approx 10 years), and Kassandra was amazing. Our dog Bodhi was very well cared for and was really relaxed when we got him back. As I said Kassandra was amazing and gave us a lot of reassurances and made sure to ask lots of questions when we met so she knew what to expect with Bodhi. Kassandra has looked after our boisterous 10month old lab and we can't recommend her highly enough! After a less than positive experience in kennels we were nervous about letting anybody else care for our boy but Kassandra has been nothing short of exceptional. Not only did she provide us with updates on his progress but she has been delivering some ad-hoc training, helping our boy to work on his manners, settling and mouthing ... which for a 10 month old lab are always a challenge! He also loves spending time with her beautiful dog, Azura! Thank you so much for putting our mind and rest and giving our wee man the best experience!! We look forward to seeing you again soon :)
First time using home boarding for Bella, our German Shepherd. Kassandra is amazing, calm and very patient. She just loves dogs and cats. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will certainly be using her again in the future.
