Availability
My availability has more restrictions than I used to have. I’m currently only accepting clients local to Ypsilanti, unless you’re an already established client. For housesitting, my standard rate is based off the assumption that your dog can be left for 4-8 hours at a time, generally closer to 6 hours at a time. I can make exceptions to this, depending on where you are located and if you’re only booking for a shorter trip [a few days]. If you’re a bit outside of Ypsilanti but still within a few miles, feel free to reach out to see if you’re in my service area. House-sitting requests will include breakfast & morning walk, afternoon walk, dinner & evening walk, and another walk before bedtime - and then staying overnight in your home. I usually spend most of my free time with the dogs. Please note, that my standard set up is based on a 10-4 type schedule, meaning that I may need to be out of the house for 6-8 hours at a time on occasion. I can usually accommodate closer to 4-5 hour breaks, but let me know in advance if your pet requires that so I can confirm whether or not I can fulfill that on your particular dates.

It's very important to me to have good communication with my clients and that have good communication from the start. I require that new clients fill out an intake form so to gather all the details I might need about you, your home, your dogs personality and needs, and provide you a chance to detail anything else that you feel is important for me to know to be able to provide a good service. Overnight house sitting in your home: -I will treat your house as if it were my own. -I will maintain a clean & homely environment. -I will clean up after the dog, after myself & do additional chores as needed. -I will take care of plants, mail, trash, etc., while I am there, if requested. -I will respect your space, your privacy, and any rules you may have in your home. -I will not bring additional guests into your home. Boarding at my house: -I am more limited to how often I can board a dog in my home. -I will only book one client at a time to board in my home. -The dog must be safe to have around cats & bunnys. -The must be ok with strangers (I have roommates) -The dog must be generally well behaved. -My home is only suitable for dogs who fall lower on the energy level spectrum.

A typical day
I am very active and love being outside as much as possible. My preferred dog walking services include longer walks (45 - 60mins) and doggy field trips (1-3 hour hikes) where I can really get a good adventure in. When I'm house sitting, I will typically spend most of my free time in your home with the dog (outside of work). Your dog will get a morning walk with breakfast, another walk after dinner, additional playtime & affection in the evening, and a walk before bedtime. If the weather is restrictive then I will engage with your dogs indoors by setting up interactive puzzle games to stimulate them, giving them snuggles & scratches or work on training (when requested).

I’ve grown up with animals in the home my whole life including several dogs & cats, amphibians, reptiles, and rodents. I genuinely adore all animals but dogs are my specialty. I have years of experience with dog walking & house sitting and have become very comfortable with a variety of breeds, sizes, temperaments and quirks. I have a special love for bigger breeds after spending most of my life with Alaskan Malamutes. The services include overnight house sitting, doggy day care, and doggy field trips. I only accept one client at a time which means that all of my services customizable and tailored to your pets needs.

Kasey is so great, I have two pets she has cared for twice now, a puppy and a dog who have very different personalities and needs. She has been able to connect with my dog who is a bit standoffish and manage my velcro puppy. She is also great at checking in and asking questions if they arise, and sharing updates and photos.
